time line

want to know how it all began... well it went a little something like this...

1996: (summer: 41 days to be exact) Deryck and Steve steer away from their weezer-like ways and form sum41…

1996(fall)-1997(summer): many substantial things happened, but too many to mention…

*Deryck met up with Greig Nori after a treble charger show… and told him about the band Greig went to a show… was so impressed that he fell on his ass and decided to take the role as fearless leader/manager of the band…

*Greig introduced the boys to his friend Marc from len… they chilled… Marc played in the band for a few months… and also recorded a few demos with the band: “then Marc’s band sort of blew up and then we went our separate ways”- Steve

*played on the oh-so-famous Jono-vision

*appeared on ytv’s “the zone”

*played at the Halifax On Music Festival: Appeared on Much East

*Twitch gets into a car accident: Twitched died when the car fell on his hand… bleed to death on the way to the hospital

*the formation of the ass army now more appropriately called the goon platoon

*October 1997: twitch leaves the band

*November 1997: Cone replaces twitch while the band looks for new bass player

*(note) early 1998: Cone joins the band as the permanent bass player… “Then we got Cone who is a diamond in the rough, I tell you that. Man can he play that bass.” -Steve
