how my eyes are atomic weaponry
is slowly taking over the globe:

events listed chronologically

the first free release of my eyes are atomic weaponry consisted of 75 copies i had made partially out of pocket and largely through the gracious donations of the friends' central school community. this initial release seems to have somehow spurred a great deal of enthusiasm among my readers and their families. consequently my eyes are atomic weaponry is becoming more widely distributed than i could have dreamed.

al gore
i was astounded to find out one day that democratic presidential hopeful al gore had received a copy of my zine! apparently, a copy i had given to the young scholar peter w. had been seen by the lad's parents who happened to be about to attend one of those democratic fundraisers we've all heard so much about. the excited parents passed the zine on to al gore who was conveniently in attendance at said fundraiser and reportedly said to him, "this is what's on the mind of america's youth."

now i must say, i am certainly not the biggest al gore fan out there. until bill's utter failure in this year's primaries, i was a hardcore bradley supporter. i do, of course, support him over george w. but it would be difficult to find any candidate (or mammal for that matter) that i would not support over george w. bush. anyhow, it still really freaks me out that al has my zine
and i hope it does him good.

here's the contents of an email sent to me by my good friend ben nadler:

Ok, heres a bizarre story:

Apparently Sara L****, who is at my mom's office for senior project, gave my mom a copy of your "nuclear eyes..." zine. My mom really liked it, and she showed it to her friend Britta who really really liked. So i think they spent the afternoon looking at your zine and talking about destroying rick santorum, and they somehow decided that they are going to personally mail a copy to every single representative on that list of representatives who like nukes that was printed in your zine. They wanted me to tell you that if you're down with that they can handle copying and postage. I realize this is so bizarre, but they wanted me to tell you and it is not for me to question angry old women who receive zines from sara l****. so i guess they need to know if that's cool and i don't know how they wanna take it from there.

hope your'e enjoying senior project. peace.

-ben

here was my response:
hey ben,
sure, i'm perfectly in favor of my zine taking over washington. al gore has a copy, the republican senators will have copies, all i need now is al sharpton to represent me and my cause and i've got a movement.
also, i'm currently constructing the redumentary framework of a website for the sky is burning and its sub-groups and sub-projects (as well as any sub-humans or submarines i can find... ha ha ha, i'm a funny lad). it can be found at www.angelfire.com/zine/theskyisburning

as for senior project, its rolling about like a tumble-weed in a wild-west showdown. i'll be in school briefly tomorrow. perhaps i shall see you.

thank you for informing me about my zine's growing grasp upon the world as we know it,
germ

the United Nations

the following is from the april-may, 2000 issue of the sky is burning world domination newsletter:

...the third event relating to this zine is the craziest of all. my dad gave a copy of the zine to the son of a man who is involved with nuclear nonproliferation and the UN. this man is also responsible for providing delegate materials at the upcoming Nuclear Nonproliferation Review Conference (i think that's the name), taking place on may 12. upon reading the zine, he called to applaud my work and asked if the zine could be included in the delegate materials for the conference. he also invited me to go to the conference at the UN in new york city. i am blown away by how much my eyes are atomic weaponry is being circulated right now. it's fucking crazy!

anyhow, i plan to attend the nuclear shindig and have printed up 200 copies for the delegates (oy, the cost of it all).

aside from that, there's not much going on. -germ 'sunset

the following signs of worldwide domination have occured as a result of the second printing of my eyes are atomic weaponry, consisting of an additional 75 copies.
Radnor Friends' Meeting

my eyes are atomic weaponry: notes from the atomic age is now a part of the private library of Radnor Friends' Meeting (a quaker meeting of which i am a member). also, at Radnor, during a five-minute fundraising/panhandling campaign i was able to raise nearly $30
to cover printing costs. yay quakers!
