The Seven Year Itch!!
by Budgie ....so Severin phones and says "Guess what" and we’re on ansaphone as usual and so we’re not actually listening ‘til later... "Well I’ve just had a shout for S & the B’s to get together for a bit of a bash in California..." so when we hear this you can imagine we think mr. S. has had a few sherbets and he’s having a bit of a giggle isn’t he? "..so call me when you get this and I’ll tell you more..okay?" and he sounds pretty excited which is curious but ...nah he’s definitely havin’ us on...... he hung up his bass & pointy boots ages ago vowing nay nay never again......... but....... well........ no harm in seeing what he’s on about.......... probably some whacky bondage party in Silverlake! So we have this three way inter continental party call and Siouxsie’s louder than me & Sev ‘coz her voice is trained to kill after all - and so it’s hard to hear what’s going on and the cackling gets louder & louder & we begin to realise how much we still make each other crack up laughing. By the way, Siouxsie’s laugh can massage internal organs at fifty paces - if she really likes you of course..... if not........ oh Lordy, Lordy! So we make some enquiries and it all comes up legit and we think well if we’re gonna get together for one show we might as well see if we can’t do a few more while we’re at it. So that’s pretty much what happened and nobody’s more surprised than us but there you go - we’re just thrilled to be doing it ‘coz we just fancy doing it and not because we have an album to promote - maybe that’ll come later....... who knows....... never say never.....! Now where have I heard that before........? So dust off your organisers here’s what’s happening so far.. 19 April - Roseland - NYC
