Burnout 3: Takedown™ is the latest, and most anticipated installment of the Burnout franchise. The Burnout series has always been about fast-paced arcade racing, with one key rule: drive dangerously. Back in 2001, the first entry of the Burnout franchise gave us classic arcade racing with quite a bit of emphasis on car crashes. A year later, Burnout 2: Point Of Impact "ups the ante" with higher speeds, more detailed car crashes, and even more perilous driving situations.

Burnout 3: Takedown promises to take the franchise even further, pushing the envelope on the arcade racing genre. Bigger crashes with even MORE detail. More crash junctions with even MORE oppertuinites for destruction. More cars to choose from, which means MORE variety. All new racing locations, which means MORE new challenges. And for the first time, an online mode where up to six people can race against each other with FULL traffic, which means there's MORE to do. Burnout 3: Takedown gives fans MORE of everything they loved from past Burnout titles, and so much MORE. Even if you weren't a fan of the series before, you will be with Burnout 3.

So, when does Burnout 3 hit store shelves? In the US, it's due to come out on September 10, 2004 for the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Do mark your calendars now!
