The Virgin Battle of Queen Morgeen

THe Virgin Battle of Queen Morgeen

The battle is about to begin

The drum beat matches our heartbeat within

Some of those hearts will soon stop beating

On this terrible day O fleeting

Is this war of discontent

That we are having on our continent

Over the battlefield I see

All of the men that are ready

To fight, to die, to never quit

Until the last flaming arrow is lit

They all have sworn, they will die for their queen

For their lady, for Morgeen

For they all have vowed to me

Their life, their love, their filiality

It has come, yes it has come to pass

That they must follow the untested lass

I must be ready and then

Be as courageous as I possibly can

O I would rather be

At my home raising a family

But this paththat to me been given

Is one I must follow, for our landhas been riven

By the most foul and brutal of men

Who have come to try and take our land

Queen Morgeen, Queen Morgeen they shout

My love is felt for them as I look about

Into the faces of these men

Fully realizing what may happen

To each and every one of us

All who are fightingfor this cause

I have been my mouth the taste of lead

For it has come to pass, what I most dread

All of a sudden the trumpets sound

The enemy is advancing, tremors are felt in the ground

The air is heavy with fear and sweat

The enemy is coming nearer and we get

Ready to come face to face with them

To look into their eyes as we slay these men

I pick up the helmet I must wear

And tuck inside my dark black hair

Which today may be stained with blood

Of the men who would try and flood

Stop them we must, our enemy

How will their queen fightthis battle today

For it is her virgin battle they say

They need the sign to begin the fight

To hold our land with all of their might

Aganist these men who have laid out the course

They want to take from us now, by force

All that we have lived for and the cities we built

I hold in my hand the sword to the hilt

*LET US FIGHT FOR OUR LIBERTY!*

Into the battle it has begun

Who will lose, who will have won

This fateful clash, this mighty war

And all that we are fighting for

I might be slain with all the rest

I might fail this virgin battle, this test

But I will take many as I go down

I swear by the very heartand all that I have known

I stand with all the men who may die

I pierce my sword to all who come by

Who has time in this mighty fight

To see who is to the left of us or to the right

All I can see is what is directly ahead

And I see some of my conrades are dead

I look into the eyes of a man

Who has come before me and

I pierce my blade through his entrails

Thru his body thru his chain mail

I pull it out and never take a look

I check my back and see who may have took

the life of my brethren the life of my kin

And I go forth and follow him

All around me the clashing of swords I hear

And the cries of friends most dear

As they go down, as they lose their life

In this, such an unholy strife

With slashing of sword and arrow drawn

We will go forth to the most harrowing dawn

Of blood, lost innocence and misery

For today we have made history

All around us bodies are strewn

Mutiliated, bleeding and amid this ruin

I stand

With my bloody sword in hand

The armor I wear has turned to red

With the blood of mine enemies who have had

Their last day upon this land

We have faced this this mighty band

They found out today the cost

Of this battle for they have lost

But also the cost to us it felt

As besides my conrades I knelt

Tears fill my eyes a terrible anguish I feel

O death has visited us, yes it is real

Forever a hole in my heart will be

For the men who have died for our victory

This is the story of Lady Morgeen

The rightful heir and the rightful queen

Of this our beloved, beauteous land

Which upon it now we all stand

In freedom and love and liberty

She has helped us earn the right to be free

Yet where did Lady Morgeen make this vow

I will take you back to the when and how

She found the key to her destiny

Yes, let's turn back a page in history
