Mockingbird and Fox Merry meet! This month I will be doing the Mockingbird and the Fox. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to Email me at Sweeti2462@aol.com. Sara Mockingbird So you might think that the Mockingbird could represent that you don't follow your own path, that you copy others, and in a way it does. The Mockingbird can help you find itself, and your inner talents. The Mockingbird usually shows up when it is a time to learn to sing your own song, show off your talents, regardless of how others will view this. The Mockingbird's traits can sometimes help you learn things about yourself. For instance, on its shoulders are white patches. As it walks along, it occasionally opens its wings, flashing the white patches. They reflect the sunlight, alarming insects in the area. When the incets react, the Mockingbird sees them and grabs them up. This is the ability to stimulate responses in others, and this is what the Mockingbird can teach you. It can help you see who are your enemies and who are your true friends. With the Mockingbird, you can hear the true song of others, see who they really are. I didn't realize it at first, but the Mockingbird is one of my animal guides. It was foolish of me to not see this, for I had Mockingbird nest in the tree outside my window, and he would sing to me all day and through the night. Some people are like the Mockingbird, always searching for their path, their soul purpose, and trying out new things, and finding their talents. And showing them off. :0) But when the Mockingbird enters your life, it's time to show your talents off. Learn to be you and learn to know and love yourself. And don't be afriad of what other's think. The Mockingbird can, and will, attack those who threaten it. So let's learn from the Mockingbird, and be outselves, and sing our own song, and not let anyone brings us down! KEYNOTE: Feminine magic of camouflage, shapefhifting and invisibility CYCLE OF POWER: Nocturnal, Dawn, and Dusk When you think of a fox, what do you think of? That sly little red thing that was in those Bugs Bunny cartoons you saw as a little kid? Most of us have probably grown up thinking that a Fox was a horrible animal that steals eggs and such, or related it to a sly, cunning person, which the Fox is. The Fox is sometimes thought of a guide to the Faerie Realm. This is thought because the Fox is most visible at the times of dawn and dusk, or the "Between Times" and it lives at the edges of forest and open land, the border areas. So some think that the Fox will enter your life as a signal that the Faerie Realm is about to open for you. Foxes have long been associated with power and magick. In ancient Chinese lore, the fox acquires the ability to become human at age of 50, and on its hundredth birthday, it becomes a wizard or a beautiful maiden who will ultimately destroy any man unlucky enough to fall in love with them. The Cherokees used fox medicine in for many things. And some Indians thought of the Fox as a protector. The Fox was sacred in Persia, for it helped the deceased to get to heaven, and the Indians of Peru had a fox god. The Fox can teach you how to control your aura, adjusting its frequency and intensity so that you harmonize more with others. Practicing blending in or melting into scenery can also lead to hearing and seeing things that otherwise you would not. Sometimes people that are seen as quiet or who are not noticed "because they are so quiet" may very well have the Fox a an animal guide and they use that in their favor, or, they very well may just be quiet! The Fox also has very keen senses, which could reflect in a person with the Fox as an animal guide. Also Foxes are very territorial and travel, they do come back to they home. A person with the Fox as their animal guide may find themselves that way, or even protective of their home and possions. Charming is what is seen as the Fox's cleverest hunting technique, catching it's prey's attention, while moving closer and closer, and before it's prey knows it, it can't get away. Someone with a Fox as an animal guide could use this technique in achieving something that they wish to gain. Sara McCormick Email Sara at: Sweeti2462@aol.com |
