An Introduction (c) Eaglemedicine Woman 2001 The person must want a healing. You cannot force it on someone. You can do Reiki all night long on someone if you wish, but unless they want it, it isn’t going to make much difference. If they want it, they will be more open, some may still have difficulty in opening up but they will at least be trying. If they don’t want it they will resist and put up barriers and at the end of the treatment probably say, “see, it’s a load of rubbish.” You don’t need that, and neither does the other person need to find another excuse not to open up. If you think someone could be helped my receiving some Reiki, then ask for permission. Don’t forget that a lot of physical problems are related to un-dealt issues held in the emotions, mind and spirit. So unless they are prepared to work on the root causes of ailments, I doubt that a full healing would occur. However, it is a divine energy that we are working with, which doesn’t have to work to the same laws we build in our minds.
