Well what can be said about this classic other than Brutal! Cause of Death is and will always be one of the greatest Death Metal albums ever. I wont go to much in depth into it since I know most of you have this rotten CD.
The production is excellent by legendary producer Scott Burns. James Murphy does an awesome job on the guitars with his merciless leads. This is definitely James Murphy best work ever. Though some people say that his guitar work on Death's "Spiritual Healing" was, I still think that "Cause Of Death is. Trevor also does a great job on the ryhthm guitar section accompanying James. John Tardys vocals are savage sounding which will make the hairs on your back stand..totally unearthly. The
Drums are clear with some excellent double bass work by Donald Tardy.
Obituary also do a great cover Of Celtic Frosts' "Circle of the Tyrants" which totally blew me away which any Celtic Frost fan would like.
If their ever were an album to define Death Metal than this one is it. This is one album that you never tired of listening to. If you are a Death Metal fan and haven't heard this than go buy it now because you don't what you've been missing out on. TOTALLY SICK!!
