3 DIMENSIONAL VICTORIAN ORNAMENT WITH TASSEL ~ PSP 7

PART 1 ~ PAGE 1

1. Open the image in PSP 7 that you are going to use.
Duplicate it. (SHIFT + D)
and minimze the original.
This is the image I will be using. Again, this is the beautiful art work of: Karen Paul.



2. Set your background color to white
Now, go up to EFFECTS>GEOMETRIC DEFFECT>CIRCLE
Now you should have a pic that looks like this.



3. I want the circle to be smaller, so
Go to your magic wand now, and click somewhere within your white area
Now you should have ants around your frame and circle



4. Go up to selections, and click on INVERT.
Now your ants should be around just the circle.



5. With your ants active,
Copy your circle, and paste as a new image.
Resize it to your liking. (I reduced the image to 75%)
(You can't tell from these pics however since my screen shots are already resized down
for faster loading)



We will be using this in just a moment.

6. Go back to the image we were working on now, and FOLLOW CLOSELY.
Hit your delete key once.
That should leave you with just your white background now and ants
outlining the circle that used to be there.
DESELECT
You should have only your white background now.

7. Go back to the circle on the transparent background that we resized and have been saving.
Copy and paste it as A NEW LAYER to your white BACKGROUND LAYER... TWICE
You should have 3 layers now, IN THIS ORDER.
LAYER 2 (circle image)
LAYER 1 (circle image)
BACKGROUND (white)

8. Make sure LAYER 2 is activated.
Go up to EFFECTS>GEOMETRIC EFFECTS>CIRCLE again.
This should have given your top circle, a diamond like shape in the center
It's starting to look pretty cool now, isn't it?.



9. Still working on LAYER 2
Now go to your magic wand, and click anywhere on your white again.
You should now have marching ants around your frame, AND... around the diamond shape we just made



10. Go up to SELECTIONS>INVERT
Now your ants should only be around your diamond shape.
