Flood Fill with solid white now

13. Go up to EFFECTS>PLUGINS>SUPERBLADE PRO
And using the settings below, apply the shiny gold preset.
Of course you can use any preset you'd like too, and, adjust the settings to your own tastes,
BUT this layer is only going to be seen as a "piping:" so don't spend too much time and labor here.

10.jpg

This is what you should have now. Don't worry, it won't look like this for long ;o)

11.jpg

14. DESELECT
Now go to your layer palette, and DUPLICATE THIS LAYER
With your mouse, drag the copy of layer 3 that we just made, down ABOVE your BACKGROUND LAYER.
(You cannot see this now, but we will come back to it later.)

15. Now, go back to your LAYER PALETTE
Again, go to LAYER 3 this time, and drag it down, BENEATH LAYER 2
THIS IS WHAT YOUR LAYER PALETTE SHOULD LIKE LIKE

12.jpg

AND THIS IS HOW YOUR IMAGE SHOULD BE LOOKING NOW

13.jpg

16. Make sure LAYER 3 is activated again.
Now add a drop shadow of your liking, to allow the "piping" to stand out slightly.
Don't make the shadow to dark, it will give your ornament too "hard" a look.

17. Make LAYER 1 active. This is your circle shape.
Using your MAGIC WAND click anywhere on the white part of your pic
Now go to SELECTIONS>INVERT
Now you should have marching ants just around your circle.

18. AGAIN, go up to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>EXPAND and type in 5
ADD A NEW RASTER LAYER (LAYER 5)
FLOOD FILL with solid white

THIS IS WHAT YOUR IMAGE SHOULD LOOK LIKE NOW

14.jpg

19. Now, go up to EFFECTS>PLUGINS>SUPERBLADE PRO
And apply the same shiny gold preset with the same settings, that we used earlier.
This is what you should have now.

15.jpg

20. Go up to SELECTIONS>MODIFY>CONTRACT and type in 5
Now hit your DELETE KEY once.

21. Go back to your LAYER PALETTE and drag LAYER 5 down BENEATH LAYER 1

22. DESELECT
This is what you should have now.

22A. OPTIONAL STEP:
(If you think your ornament needs a little more depth, you can add a cutout effect at this point.
Activate LAYER 1
With your magic wand, click somwhere on the white portion of your pic.
Go to SELECTIONS>INVERT
NOW go back to SELECTIONS>FLOAT
Go up EFFECTS>3D EFFECTS>CUTOUT
I am using the settings below.
Then DESELECT

23. OK... Go back now to your LAYER PALETTE
Activate your COPY OF LAYER 3, LAYER.
