‘LOST’S’ FOX AIMS FOR BIG SCREEN
11-16-04

"Lost" hunk Matthew Fox presented at last night’s American Music Awards while on a whirlwind trek into Los Angeles between Hawaii camera calls for the hit ABC series. He's reading scripts and taking meetings about movie prospects for hiatus time.

Admits Fox, "During my last series, 'Party of Five,' I didn't feel ready for that (films) and I spent my hiatuses traveling and being with family." With the success of "Lost," he's aggressively looking for a good movie project to grab while his stock is high.

Asked what that right thing might be, Fox said genre didn't matter so much to him; he would be looking for a great script and good people with whom to work.

Due to be back before the cameras by tomorrow morning, he also commented that the team on the series feels like they’re "in a bubble" working 3,000 miles away from the mainland, so coming back is “very, very exciting. When we’re working, we’re just sort of focused on the storyline and shooting in the jungle. Coming back, we can see what an impact the show is having."
