Granddaddy
The day you left I cried, weeped, hurt, and sighed.
I remember my mom telling me, that early Friday morning, that you died and went to Heaven.
Even though the tears stream down my face.
I know you are in that heavnly place.
Anyone of us would do anything just to see your face.
I was so sad to see you go.
It was just as if you went to sleep.
Your love for us was so deep.
Your laughter will be in our hearts forever and I know it will be in mine.
But unfortunately God takes everyone in their special time.
You're the most amazing man I've ever met.
The fact that your gone still hasn't completely set.
So until we meet again someday.
I love you and miss you everyday.
Broken Heart
As I sit here and cry
I can't help but realize the mistake I made
The one where I let you in my life
I gave you my heart
I gave you my soul
And yet you put them aside
To listen to others thoughts and feelings
Rather then your own
I guess everyone else came before me in your life
As I wish I were first
I used to think my world revolved around you
I thought you would fufil my life
I thought we were meant to be
I thought nothing and no one else mattered but you and me
But I guess all I can say is I guess my thoughts were wrong
Although I knew my feelings for you were strong
Now I am proud to say I can live without you in my life today
