3 INCHES OF BLOOD "Advance And Vanquish" CD Roadrunner
The fact that Roadrunner signed a metal band made me suspicious here, considering
how trendy this label has become since the early nineties. The debut album
from 3 INCHES OF BLOOD got tons of good reviews in the magazines / webzines,
and I decided to try it. Well, a lot of reviewers must be deaf or understand
nothing about metal. Musically, the guys stole their riffs from the eighties
german heavy speed metal bands, but bad luck, the german bands played these
riffs better. The awful vocals (a kind of "gay black metal voice") destroy
the songs which could have been listenable with a real singer. Conclusion
: 3 INCHES OF BLOOD advance nowhere and vanquish nothing. By the way, return
in your garage, work better the songs and record some demos before thinking
coming back with an album, because this debut cd is total shit ! Now I must
try to sell this shit on price minister.
