CRYSTAL TEARS "Choirs Of Immortal" CD Pure Steel
CRYSTAL TEARS is back with a deal on Pure Steel and a new line-up including
female vocalist Natasa Pandreia, whose rough voice is impressive. There are
four years between "Embrace The Horror" and "Choirs Of Immortal", and you
can hear that the band really worked their song-writing and their music-playing.
The thing that hits the more by listening to their new album is a strong
old ACCEPT influence. Pure eighties metal sound. Pounding heaviness ("Sworn
To Avenge"), catchy tunes ("Rock Survivors"), epic pieces ("Megas Alexandros"),
speed attacks ("Stealer Of Minds"), threatening crushers ("Master Of Deception"),
ballad ala ACCEPT ("When The Night Is Cold"). Really a strong album with
a powerful production. Not for wimps. This cd is a storm of glorious metal,
and that excellent album is a must-have in your metal records.

CRYSTAL TEARS “Embrace The Horror“ CD self-financed
Thanks to Antonis for turning me into this amazing band. The influences
are various as you can hear old IRON MAIDEN, old US power metal and old german
heavy/speed. Opener “Enter The Cage” is a short keyboard instrumental with
mysterious and dark feelings. “Alone” is devastating power metal. “Slaves
Of Time” is a mid tempo sounding desperate, close to doom. “Into Warfield”
is a raging gem (and in my opinion, the best way to promote the album on cd
samplers). “Blessed By The Gods” and “Among The Blade” are great epic tunes.
“Speed’s All I Need” sounds like an iron charm. “Portals To Battle” is an
instrumental bringing you in the times where the sword was the law. Closer
“Thunderstorm” unleashes the fury from hell and is the better way to end
the cd. “Embrace The Horror” is a mindblowing album for the faithful guardians
of the metal flame. Give them a chance, this greek band really deserves it
!
