DREAM WEAVER "Words Carved Within" CD Secret Port
Finally, it has happened. The long wait is over, the DREAM WEAVER first album
is here ! It starts with an intro ("Another Ascendance") announcing a great
travel in the lands of epic metal. There are fast and powerful anthems, waking
the viking spirit ("Back From The North") or waking the blade ("Ice Cold
Steel"). "The White Ship" is a bewitching tune with riding guitars, taking
you to the dreamlands. There are fantastic epic songs, effective ("Burn The
Sun") and staying in the mind ("Streams Of Altered Worlds"). The band also
goes in the doom territory ("Light In The Dark"), delivering emotion and
sorrow ("Soul Searching"). "Bright Fading Past" at first appeared on the
'95 demo, the re-recorded version is superior, crossing MANOWAR's "Into Glory
Ride" era with epic IRON MAIDEN guitarriffs. There are two songs which are
a little different from the rest of the album, "Wings Of Forever" with a
soul/bluesy first part and "Eyes Of The Day" very emotional, but they kept
the band trademark and give as much pleasure as the other songs. No disappointment
and no fillers. Only high quality epic hymns for a wonderful album. Support
them and get their cd, because they really deserve it !

DREAM WEAVER “Soul Searching” 7’’ Eat Metal
I’m glad this greek band has never released average material. The truth is
the more they record, the more they offer killer songs ! Side A is the magic
and first class anthem “Soul Searching” with a touch of doom. This song is
so fantastic that I listened to it again before turning to the second track.
Side B is “Voice To Run The Miles”, another anthem. This one is full of pounding
epic metal, absolutely wonderful. Hail DREAM WEAVER ! I really hope they
will release a full lp soon, because it should be a masterpiece !
