EZY MEAT "Not For Wimps" CD Iron Pages
Another ghost of the nwobhm which doesn't want to rest in peace. EZY MEAT
were a band from North Ireland. The first part of this cd is the ten tracks
from the "Not For Wimps" album '84. Very enjoyable tunes ("Vampire Lady",
"Freedom Seeker"), with a straight-in-the-face attitude ("The Loner", "Life
And Death Of Pete", instrumental opener "Not For Wimps"), and memorable highlights
("Wasting Time", "Get 'Em Off", "Shout Out In The City"). The band also walked
on the epic territory with "Ban The Bomb" parts 1 and 2. The second part
is the bonustracks : "Warrior" with its threatening heaviness (from Rock
Meets Metal vol 2 compilation '87), pounding "Soho Escapade" and rocker "Sexy
Lady" (from Belfast compilation '81) and three interesting demo tracks from
'81. A more than welcome re-release, only for nwobhm maniacs, and definitely
not for wimps!
