HAVE MERCY "The Years Of Mercy" DoLP Stormbringer
All those who were familiar with the underground scene of the eighties know
about HAVE MERCY (especially because of the song on Metal Massacre vol 7
and the "Armageddon Descends" 1986 mlp). If not, here is your final chance
as this double lp contains their four demos. The six tracks of the 1984 demo
are bonecrushing power metal, "Show Me Your Rage", "Death Watch" and "Have
Mercy" being the best ones. The 1985 demo is ultimate ! All the five tracks
("Mass Destruction", "The Omen", Holy Dismissal", "City Of Doom" and "An
Introit To Evil") are massive and devastating power/thrash metal. The 1987
and 1988 demos are traditional thrash metal from the second part of the eighties,
influenced by TESTAMENT and SLAYER. Not bad, but they are less interesting
than the two first demos. For infos : 1) the two vinyls are white, 2) it's
a gatefold cover with a lot of band pics inside, 3) there is a four pages
sheet with story, all the lyrics and the show list of the band. Great vinyls
and great packaging ! So, if you need great power metal ('84 demo), fantastic
powerful thrash ('85 demo) and traditional U.S. thrash metal ('87 and '88
demos), go for it !
