ICARUS WITCH "Capture The Magic" DoCD Remedy
What a good surprise coming from the Usa ! A band which has great abilities
for songs-writing and which plays brilliant powerful heavy metal. The influences
are various (Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, Helstar, Titan Force, Sanctuary...),
and vocalist Matthew Bizilia is obviously influenced by James Rivera. The
album is constant, there is no weak moments. Each song is interesting and
catchy. "Capture The Magic" is an album that will be often played in the
stereo, because of its awesome songs, varied tempos, great melodic
parts, very effective riffs, a more than competent rhythmic section, a perfect
vocalist. Definitely real metal here with an album that shines ! They deliver
their eight pure metal songs, and finish with a cover of Ozzy Osbourne's
"S.a.t.o.". Remedy made a special edition with a bonus cd. The second disc
includes their previous "Roses On White Lace" ep (which opens with a wonderful
cover of Alice Cooper's "Roses On White Lace" and then offers four tracks
of killer power metal), three covers (Iron Maiden's "Killers", Scorpions'
"Pictured Life", Running Wild's "Evilution) and the video for the "Capture
The Magic" song. In addition, you have value for your money. ICARUS WITCH
is a band that is hungry, hot, ready and which is delivering the goods !
