OMEN "Eternal Black Dawn" CD Mausoleum
OMEN, the band which recorded "Battle Cry", "Warning Of Danger" and "The
Curse" is back ! The new album was announced to be the follower of the first
three ones, and that is the plain truth. "1000 Year Reign", "The Burning
Times" and "King Of The 7 Seas" are brilliant and powerful epic tunes. "Eternal
Black Dawn" and "Chaos In The Cathedral" are wonderful songs which are going
to become as classic as "Dragon's Breath", "Battle Cry", "Holy Martyr"...
The other songs ("Blood Fued", "House On Rue Royale", "Chains Of Delirium")
are pure OMEN metal. The last track ("The Specter Of Battles Past") is a
medley and I would have prefered a new song. Except for this minor complaint,
"Eternal Black Dawn" is a jewel of epic/power metal and an essential album
released in 2003. Buy or Die By The Blade !
