SODOM "One Night In Bangkok" DoCD SPV/Steamhammer
This live double cd is the third official live of SODOM, after the great
"Mortal Way Of Live" in '88 and the less convincing "Marooned" in '94. "One
Night In Bangkok" is in between. Disc One works good with tracks such as
"Blasphemer", "Outbreak Of Evil", "Remember The Fallen", "I Am The War",
"The Saw Is The Law" or "M-16". Disc Two is less interesting, even if there
are "Sodomy And Lust", "Witching Metal" or "Napalm In The Morning". The "Ace
Of Spades" cover is not really necessary and the seven minutes of "Stalinhagel/Bombenhagel"
are boring. Old tracks as "Nuclear Winter" or "Obsessed By Cruelty" are terribly
missing here. There is a new song, "The Enemy Inside", which is not bad,
plus a cool live videoclip of "Among The Weirdcong" (recorded during the
same show). A quite good double live album, but not more.
