Voting was great this year. It was at the elementary school. When I finished registering or I guess it is just signing in, one of the white-haired woman judges stuck a sticker on my hand. Haha! It reminded my of those scatch-and-sniff stickers teachers put on your do-good papers!
What a handsome group of people showed up to vote...nice men, families, working women...all on a mission.
The bad news is this: almost every candidate I voted for lost. Not to worry. It is the process, even though I do believe people need to get away from the machine. It is very strong and organized here.
Now I will have to take a Republican ballot for the final vote. (Wait...can I do that?) Argh. There is one candidate that really should not be there...nepotism isn't enough of a qualifier. Sorry.
If you voted today, I hope your choices won.
(And no I do not have a flag waving on my front porch.) Still I do hope to one day be so passionate about a candidate that I will work for them. I'd like to see what an election looks like from the inside.
