Canadian born Frank O'Rourke was a steady fielding and good hitting infielder during the 1920's and in his later years worked as a scout for the New York Yankees.

Born James Francis O'Rourke in Hamilton, Ontario in 1894  Frank made his Major League debut with the Boston Braves in 1912. After the War he returned to the big leagues as a   Brooklyn Dodger for two seasons and in 1920 he switched to the American League as a member of the Washington Nationals.
During the "Roaring Twenties" Blackie was a solid   infielder and had his best season for Ty Cobb's Detroit Tigers in 1925. In   the 1925 season Frank batted a healthy .293, rapped out 40 doubles, 7 triples   and 5 homeruns. After leaving the Tigers O'Rourke spent the final five years   of his playing career with the St.Louis Browns.

After his playing career O'Rourke returned to the New York area and served for many years as a scout for the New York Yankees until his death in 1986 in Chatham, New Jersey..
