Age

I am here to inform you upon the many issues of stereotyping age. You may not know that you do it, but you do. You may not know that it is wrong, but it is. You see age is very important in our society today. We do not know why all we know is that it is. Our parents teach us not to steroutype people, yet they all stereotype many individuals because of their age. By doing this not only are they saying that it is all right, but they are also showing their children to do it and making them self-conscious about themselves because of their age. Throughout a young person's life they will be told by people older than they are that they don't know what they are doing because of their age. Many people if not all will be criticized on their decisions about love, business, friendships and life in genera, because of their age. Their older relatives will be the main ones to tell them that they are wrong and that they don't know what they are doing, because they are to young to know what is right. As a reult of this many teen-agers and young adults will be self-conscious about their decisions in life and may even make worse one just despite you. Our generation understands that your generation is more experienced and could probably handle things better than we could, but we need to make our own decisions and mistakes. After all that is how all of you got to where you are today by making your own decisions and mistakes in life. Don't get me wrong we truly appreciate your concern for us and don't wish for it to end, but we need to learn on our own so we can grow up and survive in the world you have prepared for us. I thank you for your time and patience to listen to my thoughts on the older generation stereotyping the younger generation because of their age. I ask you to consider my words for they may also be the words of your children. Thank You.
