Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice, Is There Such A Thing?

Criminal Justice is supposed to be just that. However can those two words go together without contradicting one another? It has been said for many years that the courts have been lenient to the race known as white and more stern on other races. It has also been said that justice is blind. Due to past police and court actions, it has been proven that others were favored in court. After the so-called rebirth of the court system, many people have abused this new way of justice. Race is no longer an important issue compared to the wealth accumulated by the criminal. We have seen, in more cases than one, that if the person who commits a crime no matter how small or large will walk away with a decision based on that person’s bank account. There is no justice where there is a criminal of a well known background involved due to the fact that justice is indeed blind but the people who enforce it are not.
