- GREAT KAT, THE-*Rossini's Rape*-First off, I will say THE GREAT KAT can play the hell out of the guitar. She can burn up and down the fretboard as fast as anyone I have heard. And then doubling the runs on violin alot really showcases her incredible musical ability. This four-song CD consists of classical influenced hyberspeed metal that musically I was incredible. Standing out was THE GREAT KAT's magnificent version of Rossini's 'William Tell Overture'. THE GREAT KAT's vocals on the other hand, which were on two of the four tracks, were like nails on a chalkboard. Mindless screeching that sounded as if someone had stepped on the tail of cat. Although, the more I listen to the CD, the more I get used to it and realize that they do fit well with the cyberspeed music. All said, the CD is definitely worth checking out just to hear THE GREAT KAT showcase her guitar and violin talents. - INFLICTED-*Mindseye*-Hailing from the Cincinnati, OH area, INFLICTED come at the listener with five songs of intense modern day thrashcore sounding influenced by both PANTERA and 80s thrash. Songs like 'Discretion', and 'Fallen' are mosh friendly rockers that would get any crowd going into a frenzy and 'Layers of Skin' is a slower headbanging fist raiser that shows INFLICTED are ready to show the world what they got.
