- MAELSTROM-*Dangerously Agitated*- MAELSTROM combine 90s thrash/death metal like SIX FEET UNDER, and PANTERA with 80s thrash like FORBIDDEN, DEATH ANGEL, METALLICA, and TESTAMENT to produce a slammin' CD that deserves national attention. Thrash metal guitar riffs, double bass drums in a thunderous rhythm section, speed metal guitar solos, and a growling 90s era Chuck Billy style vocalist all make up the intensity of MAELSTROM. This CD crushes from beginning to end and is one that I highly recommend. Contact address-2694 Devilsbackbone Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45233 - Chris Lee

- NAPALM DEATH-*Enemy of the Music Business* (Spitfire)-Grindcore legends NAPALM DEATH are back and badder than ever. Although not quite a grindcore group anymore, the new thrash/death metal NAPALM DEATH rock even harder than the grincore NAPALM of old. This 14-song album sounds highly influenced by 80s era SLAYER. 'Next on the List', 'Volume of Neglect', and 'Thanks for Nothing' blaze through with speed metal licks and Dave Lombardo-esque double kick/ride cymbal breakdowns that thrash fans of bands like the VADER, DARK ANGEL, and the aforementioned SLAYER will go crazy for. NAPALM DEATH have been at it a long time and *Enemy of the Music Business* is their best effort yet. Spitfire Records, www.SpitfireRecords.com-Chris Lee
