I only watched two bands because I was so tired from school and the tbs shows but I really wanted to go support these bands. My friend Nate from Short Round has been filling in as the bassist for this band since their normal bassist went to college. It`s been working well so far. I have seem them play together twice, once and the basement and then tonight. The first time I saw this band I wasn`t too sure about them but I effin adore them now. I wish I wasn`t so poor and I could buy their cd. I have the punk rock strikes back comp which they have a song on and I love it. The singer Max is amazing, I love his voice and how he seems to be nervous on stage. Anyone in the audience can see that he is very sincere with his music and I feel like I am living the story behind the songs when I see them. Jason of short round had a guest appearance for a song which was great as well. Their energy and whole stage presence is amazing. I am looking foward to seeing them again and purchasing their record.
My New Life
Wow. It`s been a long while since I have seen My New Life. Over a month, which as you all probably know is pretty much unheard of for me. They played about 11 songs, nice long set. I was saddned to find out that Tim wasn`t feeling well and you could see it as he played. The set seemed tired but nonetheless amazing. The new song "Forevr in Vain" is fucking awesome, I liked singing along to it because it was stuck in my head for about a week. They played "All Dressed Up" a song I haven`t heard in a while. The set stayed pretty standard though, the normal songs. The new song though has become my favorite My New Life song. It was nice to see everyone again and see all the my new life friends and fans come out to the show. They played very well even though Tim is sick now. Not much more I can say except I dread thinking of how long I am going to have to wait to hear the new record, being as though the last one was just released. Go see them if you haven`t already and buy their merch, new shirts for sale, they rock.
