'Twas the Night
Before Christmas
A Modern Day Twist on a Heartwarming Classic
I was enjoying the show so much that I forgot to take as many pictures as I wanted to....*sigh*
The whole show was super, the dancing mice were adorable, contradicting the part of the poem where 'not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse'.......and when the little girl of the family was fretting that Santa would forget to bring her "seven and a quarter inch circular saw with case" when Momma burned the cookies.....
Well, it was just the cutest thing I'd ever seen....
Then the next Showtime was:
Christmas in the Smokies
Traditional Christmas Memories
This was a very nice show. One of my favorites was the dancing horse (Pictures #4 and 5) pulling the Jingle Bells sleigh. And no Christmas is complete without Frostie (Picture #6). Picture 7 was a more inspirational hymn.
Then everyone comes to Sevierville, and Dollywood, for the Christmas lights. I got a picture of the carousel when we first got there. Later, after the shows, it had started to rain, and with the wind blowing and the dark coming, it was getting cold. I snapped a few pictures of the lights as we made our way out to the parking lot, and a warm, dry car. (The thumbnails look dark, but when you click for the full image, the detail comes fine.)
And of course, this was just a few bits of what the whole experience was - very beautiful and worth the price of admission.
Merry Christmas to you and
your family,
and a very Happy New Year too !
And of course, Happy Collecting too!
