October 9th, 2005 Black & White SNFU
If you're in Birmingham, the Black & White free paper has us listed as playing a show at the Nick on a Monday night opening for somebody. Wrong. No. We never told anybody we were doing that show. Do not show up at the Nick that night and wonder why we didn't play.

January 28 2005 The Shame Idols played at the Nick in Birmingham, AL on bill with the great Model Citizen and Auburn Bikini. Matt Patton gave us the coveted middle-slot-of-three-bands, the crowd was large and cheerful. More photos from this show on the Pics page, all taken by our pal Doug Olsen.

November 14 2004 The Shame Idols play at Sakura, CD release party for the Skybucket Records comp Low Dose Exposure. Our first show since probably 1998. Originally the Lolas were scheduled to play, but there wasn't really a proper lineup ready to play the show,  and the SI were already starting to rehearse again, so we said "what the hell, let's go play, if they don't like it, tough." But they liked it. It was damn fun. Taylor Hollingsworth from Taylor and the Puffs played solo, he was great, and also the Maisleys played. We had a small but enthusiastic crowd.

September 2004 Shame Idols start to rehearse after not playing together for several years. New member Alan Helm, who played with Bryan and Jesse in the band Working Mothers, is on bass guitar.
