This person just popped into chat. Interesting WHOIS:

MajorBarcalow is quickchat@=iqYGU0667l9aw1591.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com * email@email.com

Isn't that Red Whacker's? It's the same area at least.

Just FYI if anyone is keeping this stuff.

Yeah... I just noticed that...
It could be a coincidence though that they use the same ISP...

I would need an IP address to be certain.

He's Skinofevil. For sure. He admitted it to me way back when he registered the username.

The reasons why I haven't banned it yet are many. For one, under that name he isn't a big problem. For another, I have no proof other than his word, which I don't even have anymore (the original correspondence is long gone). For a third, he's got a fan club that would be up in arms if he was banned. (That MissChicken thing, not the SoE Fan club)For a fourth, SoE can only serve 14 more days of banishment before he reaches the maximum allowed under policy. Its sort of like saving something for a rainy day. For a fifth, Skin could have been lying to me and the other TKers. We didn't know each other very well back then, he could have just said that to see if we were TrekBBS spys or something. And on and on.

I've been watching him. He isn't a big problem. If he was, we'd have banned him long ago.

Oh, and I'd ask the other admins not to ban him, either. Its basically my word against Skins, and the majority of the board doesn't much care for my word (as seen with the Lighter situaion, hell it would probably be the Lighter situation all over again).

As for the rogers thing - its probably Whacker trying to get us to screw up. Just ignore him. Don't ban him unless he is casing a specific problem.

Saavik, Skin knows that I know that he's MB. He's already maneuvered himself to exploit maximum embarrassment out of MB's banishment. He knows I don't have evidence. He knows he's only admitted it once, in a forum that doesn't exist anymore.

Hence, this situation needs to be handled in a delicate manner.
