This is a short interview made last year, after reading 2 issues (#5 & #6). It was originally contributed to Aesthetic Extremity Webzine & another fanzine from Asia ( I forgot the name..) who actually asked for permission to print this in his zine. I don't know what came out from it as he was supposed to send a copy once released. So now, it's here in my own site. Mr. King Wolle send news& info which is usually included in the e-news plus occasional photos from gigs & other stuff.  Read on & contact King Wolle if interested! He also have some stuff for sale listed on the 'Merchants of Steele' page..

DOV #7 THE LATEST ISSUE! How's your trip in the south americas? Is it all metal related? Did you went there alone?
-First hello and thanks for the interest. Yes my trip was fine, I was 3 months in travel, in Peru/Ecuador/Bolivia. First I came alone to Quito but did met to a german friend who has a wife from Ecuador. I spent nice days and did meet to many friends which I knew since my first trip to Peru in 2001. It was only in parts related to metal but of course friends from there also like metal. I came as tourist to know more the country with the help of my friends from there, so I wasn't usual tourist he he he!!

Hey, who is the old man in the photo in your zine? That's not you right? This is not Mr. Wolle!!! he he he
- Uuuppp! No I am not such old. This man was the owner of our bar where we always went to drink and to eat. But he died 1 year ago sadly. He was typical old styled german, cult!!!!

What is 'hellbanger' really? An association, brotherhood of real u/g metaldemons in your area? Who are in  it & why? What's the qualification for  members?
- We are just a normal metalclub to give a kind of unity to the few real metalheads of our region. We here only have one small city of 100.000 people and the rest are only small villages (also many parts of this city are villages) so there is not so much for metalheads and they live far from each other, so the idea of this club was to join the metalheads who live so far away and can not know each other. We organize parties, concerts, make trips together and learn to know new good (and bad also) people. The qualification for members, hmm, we were often thinking about but after a time you can decide if a person is good for our club or not. For example, a young 18 years old metaller can not have the knowledge of an 30 year old one. But you can notice if he is poseur or not, if he has serious kind of view and taste or not. Knowledge not is necessary here, but instead real feeling. Of course knowledge is always good but you know, people who say "I Know more than you" are often the biggest poseurs. (You are totally right! It like bluffing their way...)

I know its hard to tell favorites, but in all your issues who's intie did you liked most? Is it 'coz you are fan of the band or 'coz how they answer it?
-I think I can't answer this at all. The intie of Blasphemy was "shit", too short and bad answers but I was proud to have this band because I am fan of them. Maybe best interview was given to me by Wes from Dekapitator. But many others made god answers!!! Can not mention any person before another!

DOV#5Have you did any intie that you never liked the answer &/or attitude of the band that you never include it in any issues? Any band who declined an intie?
- the bands I like and take for interview don't need to give shit answers , also those who are maybe known for strong image did give good answers, Clandestine Blaze and Graveland, for example.

How about your DOV distro list, you are not an official ditributor right? Are those extra copies that you've traded? Did you personally chose those items for you to distro?
-Exactly. This distro list is not a real distro list but includes the shit I had to trade for my magazines. I will reduce the quantity of trades with issue 7 because mostly I have to trade shit/low quality stuff or what I not like.I am not a distributor and most items are only available in 1 or 2 copies. If you need anything, you can save them by writing me e-mail. Sometimes I take some stuff to distribute a bit, but then it is surely south american stuff to suporrt the band a bit, as I did with Goatsemen or Levifer. Also, when I have to do trades, I try to get asian or south american stuff. But not always is possible.

What's the special reason why you like South American metal? Who are the bands you'd recommend for those who want to check out the South American sound?
- There are too many to mention. Just see what bands are in my issues and then you can choose them ha ha ha! Seriously, if you like the old bands, then you have to find many cult LPīs. About newer bands, there are too many, just I can name some as representation for their countries: Apocalyptic raids, Headhunter D.C.,(Brazil), Witchtrap, Masacre (Col), Goatsemen, Levifer, Epilepsia(Peru), Hate, Lilith (Bolivia), and many more. Not is possible to mention all the cult 80īs LPīs to find.....
HELLBANGERS!!!
You would prefer Vinyl than Cd wouldn't you? How many vinyls do you have in comparison to CDs? Does your last testament include who will get your vinyl collection? What if a gorgeous metal babe would trade for your favorite vinyl against a 1 night ultra-fucking sexxx with her, will you agree?
- A one night sex is stupid and not that I like. And not what I do. Girls only come if you have millions of $$ or a big car, if one day I have it (hope never because I hate these consume idiots) then I will drive over these shit girls with it instead of making a bad sex he he he!
-In fact I have only 50 CDīs, but more than 1500 LPīs. I think it speaks a clear speech about what I like or prefer.

DOV#6Do you plan DOV releases like targeting month of release & bands you wanna include? Have you done all exactly how you'd like it?
- I not know how to make it different. The style of my mag was influenced by the old death metal zines, I did write all with a typewriter and lately I can use computer but can not change my style. I never do such a mag, there are not so many goods bands to fill a monthly mag. In opposite, I will reduce my activity and between issue 7 (out july 2003) and issue 8 will be a longer time...

Usual ending questions are: how long do you see DOV will exist? Any band you want to see in the pages of DOV? & probably, What is the best reason to stop doing a zine?
-The best reason to stop a zine is when you not feel yourself dedicated to the scene and bands you feature. If you think "... now I must release my new issue and search for bands hectically..." A good zine needs time without to hurry up and I not know how long my zine will exist. I am proud because of the great response worldwide but I feel myself more tired to finish issue 7 because lack of interest to the scene because all is so shitty and trendy. After issue 7 I will see if I find new good bands to feature which I like.. if not issue 8 needs are longer time to see the light......
