STEEL MADNESS #2 - A5, B/W, 96 pages. Yes I did read the #3 before #2. I really did lost contact to Syukri for sometime before I got the #3 so since this is still available I really need to get it. And really agree that this is the best issue for Steel Madness. Even though this is half the size in format of #1 & #3 the contents are full packed of Asian underground metal and some non-asians of course. But who would pass on the Sabbat Mania for Sabbat fanatics tracing the sabbat artifacts scattered out there! The informative Thailand Scene Report by Nath of Slava Zine, the Chinese Scene report by Wang Xiao and the highlight article on "Singapore, a look into the Past" by Vasp Necrogoat, how about interviews? You got to read Apocalyptic Raids, World Chaos Production, Bloodcult, Ugr Karma, As-Sahar, malefactor, Authority, Tasyim, Suffocated Art, Dusk, Rebaelliun, Hyponic, Inhumate, Arum, Revenge & Impiety. And of course lots of reviews of music, zines & even videos!!! Plus a center fold? Not your porno stuff he he he but a band that I cant read the name!! Copy is clear, no hassle reading and no space junk. Only negative comment is the the thing I don't like in any kind of reading material, whether ordinary magazines & newspaper.. is to jump to another page to finish an article or interview. So that is very minimal & if you are not like me, then there is no problem for you! I guess you already know that this is not a one-man zine, so, expect different 'review likings' and interview style. Sporadic images of the reviewed materials are shown. Overall, this is ighly recommended 'coz I think this will be sold out soon! Ask Syukri if they still have copies. CANADIAN ASSAULT #2 - A4, B/W pro-print like a newprint 48 pages. This is actually issued 1998. But do you give a fuck? I don't! 'Coz this has interviews of Incantation & Possessed!!! Plus Twisted Tower Dire!! For me those are the main reason..but you'll get more inties of pentacle, Horna, Headache Described zine, Intestine, Quo Vadis, Gorguts & Lust. I like the interview style as it is mixed with some non-metal or non-music related, some are odd or totally out of the blue that some bands can dig & others just down play. Reviews either music & zines will always be a part of zines, both are found & expect long ones from here and most have images of the cover &/or the band. I think the plus this zine offers are the 'Ancient Album Reviews' for people who want to re-live & hunt for the unlived past of metal and the "Killer Qwotez" whihc is un arguably entertaining, interesting & funny... no Table of Contents though.. so you have to go through it.. in this situations I usualy browse through it.. CANADIAN ASSAULT #3 - A4, B/W pro-print also like a newsprint but now has a gloosy white cover. Also now this has a table of contents. 51 pages. Overall, the style is the same as the previous one above. Main item for me is the interview of ABSU! But of course you can never neglect the other long & varied interviews here!! Hell Fucking no!! There are inties of Primal Fear, Drogheda, Matal Mafia Fanzine, Unholy Cadaver, Disciples of Power, Ossuary, Pegazus, October 31, Darkthrone, Authotorg, United Guttural Records/Fleshgrind & Skinnless. Plus the reviews, the Ancient Albums & also the not ancient. Zines & now it has gore/horror film reviews too! Of course the Killer Qwotez are here..and another new feature, a Porn Star article... Christy Canyon...I wish Dale put more photos!! Aarrrggghhhh!! I'm now sure If I saw any of this lady's porn movies... So did you notice the improvements? The previos issue if good enough now this is better huh? So I wonder about the new ones 'coz if I am not mistaken this zine is acutally on its #5 or 6.. anyway I will surely try to get more in the near future...Oh did I mention that this is from 1999.. do you really give a fuck about the year? METAL INDIA #2 - 44 Pages, Pro-print like a news print, A4 size, clears copies! Cover is Immortal & Gruesome Mallady. Features the mentioned bands plus Kryptos, Rottrevore Records, Abhorred, Aaarghhh, Undying Inc, Vomitory, Thyrfying, Northerm Cock & Ball Torture, Lunatic Gods, Haemorrhage, a gig report from India "Domination the Deathfest 2003" plus the music & zine reviews! And other shorts from bands like Belial, Deflesh, Myndsnare all from India & other bands from Austria to Japan to Uruguay & Costa Rica. The overall lay out & out put is a very good progression from the 1st issue, plus the thickness of course & now all original interviews! The interviews are informative as it gives the basic lines of questioning. The Immortal feature is not an interview but a collection of facts gathered about the band. The reviews are long which is good but some are very technical & comparative. So it doesn't do good for non-technical metal heads like me he he he.. Oh, just a note, probably just a Typo. Slava Zine has a very good review which I agree upon but it is from Thailand not from Philippines! He he he Nathapon Kamonsin is the scribbler of that hellish zine! DARK PURITY ZINE #4 - 24 pages a4/letter size, b/w, photocopied. IDP is
going strong! I think this zine has never issued a let down! It has sticked to a
fine pc based organized layout. Nice cover artwork, I wonder what will the monsenior
of ortigas will say? The interviews are almost
always enjoyable. They are from Cahmber69, Copremesis, Deiphago, Demiurge,
Devourment, Divinity Destroyed, Gorgasm, Iconoclast, Mark of Impetigo, Religious
Nightmare & Visceral Bleeding. Plus photos from gig events here & the
music & fanzine reviews which are straight forward! But this issues is the controversial
issue! Huh? Well, every body whom I have ask about this thinks it is.
Mostly, probably 'coz of the Deiphago interview. Every one here seems to know
this & I hail Alex for putting this up! You really got to read this!!! But
for me, there is another controversy here, the "I am a whore" article,
usually, alex features lite-porn stars of the philippines movie industry but
now, a real woman!!! With alex's name written in a piece of paper put
near the pussy as an evidence! Whoah! hey alex is she the same gal on the
video?!?! Huh? What video? Anyway, don't be mislead by all this, there are great
interviews here!!! What I noticed is that some of the foreign bands here have a
filipino-descent member. Hhhmmm.. get this from

BULLSHIT ZINE ISSUE#4 - 66 pages a4/letter size, b/w, photocopied (or
some call it xeroxed!). This is the 4th issued of this punk/metal zine. Yes, it
dwells in punk & metal! With a compilation CDR featuring all-filipino bands
of the mix genre of punk & metal! Probably the best all Filipino compilation
you will get your hand to! And it covers almost all part of the philippines that
has a fucking scene! Oh right this is about the zine, you'll read about
Aggressive Dog Attacks (Phil), Bllod Bastard (Neth), Carnal Redemption (Gre),
Disicples of Darkness (hol), Damnation Army (Can), Half the Battle (USA/Phils),
Inhumate (Fra), Keith of Eternal Darkness Creation (usa), Terminal Descent (usa),
Opus Dead (Spain), Seraphim Slaughter (Usa) & Skull Grinder (USA), plus
music reviews, gig reviews, columns, bios, Phil. metal scene report, Filipino HC
Punk scene report of the USA & Turkey Scene Report & of course flyers!
And don't forget the vomit of the creator of this zine, Corix! This has mixed
layout, some photos here & there. Not bad layout & printing, very
readable but some of the pages in my copy bleeds through. Not much of a hassle
& I think it depends on the recopying. There are some columns by the editor
himslef & some are from other folks. There is a cute column titled 'Are you really true?'
It does have some sense but it's like the other side of the coin, you know, becoming what you hate.
The interviews too are mixed from
the editor & from a foreign contributors. The inties are lengthy & very
well answered. What I like most is the intie of Inhumate & Opus Dead!
Lot's of sense & insights on u.g. attitudes! Overall, a good zine, which actually looks like more of a
metal zine that a punk zine! Get this for corix at 
IMPALED
ZINE # 5 - 30 pages a4/letter size, b/w, photocopied. This is already
issue #5 and it is the first time I got to read this zine. This guy is also from
Cavite far further south. I salute this guy for doing this zine for this is
'really' a typewritten zine. Now-a-days, all you can see are pc printed even of
they are lay-out in cut-n-paste style. This got bios of bands from all over,
music reviews, gig reviews, flyers & a history of the UG scene in cavite.
But the down turn is only 1 interview? Yes, from the Laguna thrasher
ex-effluvium band NEGATRON. The interview is good, but of course we just want
more!!! anyway, lots of bios in here. Layout is simple, very readable. OH, the
maker of this zine is the same guy interviewed in INSANITY. Contact Chris Ureta,

AUTOEROTICASPHYXIUM # 10
- I got in trouble getting
this zine from the post office in Abu Dhabi. I asked my wife to forward this
zine using the speed mail service from the Philippines, but even though it is fast (I got it 4 days
after she mailed it!) I got in deep shit with the postal customs & nearly loose
it altogether! I was called up to appear at the central post office, after some
shit waiting & filling up some forms the official opened the envelope in front
of me. It seems that the fuck doesn't speak or understand much English so they are looking
at the covers & browsing thru! Even though they asked what it is they keep
babbling in language which the only word I understand is 'sataniak'. They still
did not gave it to me but instead put some comment on the envelope & took it to
another office which says 'Ministry of Culture ..' , then again an official
looked at it! After browsing thru it & with out asking anything he released it
to me! Whew!! So now I got to read this zine! So now you got to read this too!
This is A4 mid stapled & very clear copied. 36 pages. Simple lay-out that is
good for eyes with prescription glasses like mine. he he he Few photos though.
Original front & back artworks. Now this issue have interviews! With 3 metal
radios namely Brutality, Prison Break & Rampage Radio. Also with Mickmo of
Bugslayer, Attila Csihar, Forever Underground Records, Ruptured Zine, Savior
Sect, BlackWinter, Agony Divine, Sleeperkidsworld.com, Plus the zine & music
reviews, Film Reviews and tons of links for metal net surfers! This is worth the
hassle in the fucking post office! Best read for me is the one from Mickmo &
Atttila as you will read 'reality' of life & coping with what we call metal
life! Oh, for a different shot in the arm, read the sleeperkidsworld.com or
should I say the Jessle interview, especially if you are into wrestling! Of
course the editor has a piece of his mind for you at the 2nd page. All this for

IN DARK PURITY # 3 -
A4, 34 pages, side stapled. Very clear B/W! This zine is getting better by the
issue! Not only in the lay out but the over all content too! You'll read stuff
from Ciribus, COG, Detrimentum, End of Man, Godless, Horifixion, Incarion,
Immaculate Molestation, Lecherous Nocturne, Neuraxis, Nuclear Assault,
Scoracrasia, Suffocation, Watch Me Brun, Wolfen Society. Oh yeah some a big
bands over there but considered classic by others. A shotgun style interview
from the known zine makers of the philippines, that is 9 people from 7 zines.
The Auditory Abuse (or music reviews) complete with cover images, style is
simply straight forward! The Brutaliterature (or zine reviews) with both old &
new zines from all over also with cover images. Also a page with 10 photos of 10
bands from the Philippines photographed by Roel (of Tripalium Zine). The Inties
are mixed of regular questions to funny and overall interesting with font size

A4, side stapled. 72 pages but could have been smaller if some spaces put in
better use. Some pages are clear some are not & some are pasted together,
probably recopying error. This is not cut n paste but has that effect. This is a
mix of Hardcore, Punk & Metal so expect some rough ride reading. You can read
about Condemned, Demiurge ,Hatemail which are both from the Philippines.
Einstein Chakras, Eskapo is a filipino but us based band. , Morbid Soul Music &

DEAD RECKONING # 2 -
22 pages, a4 size. The second issue from the laguna metal camp! This are joint
projects of the Negatron, Morloch, Pathogen bands from the south of manila. Lay
out is the same as the first, simple & easy to read fonts. Not all photos are
clear. You get to read about Mortuary Oath, Apokalyptic Raids, Farscape, Black
Trinity, Lord Caiphas, Metal Havoc Zine plus old & new releases on review. The
reviews are called critical emmissions made by Willie & Erwin + another guy
named Lycidas, I think this is another person from Lexicon of Morloch. There's
also a video review which is probably taken with permission from another source.
All is a good read, but the article about 'ethnic cleansing in the underground?'
is a bit disconcerning to me. I have to disagree in some parts, and I seem to
read the word 'goth' quite often.. anyway, this is actually an opinion based
article & not an actual fact based, so, you got to read this if you want to
know. As for me, cleansing is a natural process! Contact: Erwin -
METAL HAVOC #4 - A5, B/W, 24 pages. This is a
bit thin but with the small font used, a load of stuff & interviews can be read
with Morloch, Sacrosanct, Al Iblis all from Philippines, Metal Inquisitor,
Raging Storm, Katagory V, Ingermanland, Bestemmia Aeternalis, Forgotten Tomb,
Dagorlad & Fate. Plus the article or feature "From the Past Reborns the Storm" &
Natthaphon Kamonsin's Thailand Scene Report. Some facts & mind splatter of the
editor, rip-off alerts & also some flyers! And don't forget the reviews! The
Cover is like a comic book page where Vro seems to unleash his hate against
trendy bands, new metal, rip-offs & other crap that you would hate too! Lay out
is simple & gives the effect of a cut n paste style. Over all a good read and
provokes hates towards trendy metal fuck heads & rip-offs! For trades & cooperations contact: Vro at 
ALAMKIAMAT #1 - A5, B/W, 56 pages including the
Red Covers. This is officially out August, 2004 from the least place you
could probably think of in asia, where? From Brunei Darussalam! Yeah, that small
but oil rich country near Malaysia & Philippines! And for a debut issue
this is really good, specially the lay out which is like a pro mag except from
the not so clear pictures, and those where the background blurs the text. The
style is not repetitive & the questions are both musically & personally
evolving. The metal style is varied & the bands are not in the mainstream
limelight, the interviews are with Heol Telwen, Mantak, Kiyamat, Creptum, Opus
Draconis, Tepheret, Cracena, Mortinatum, Aaarghh, December Cold Winter, Phex,
Excrofula and Defiler. Plus you will read bios & facts about Tiwaz, Surrender of
Divinity, Australian Scene Report, The Thai Scene Report of Mighty Natthaphon,
Astarte, Spirit of the Deep Waters & more. No Reviews though of any kind, music,
zine or what ever.. probably on the next issues. And like the creator of this
zine, I am disappointed that no local band from where this come from is
featured!! I hope 1 or 2 bands from brunei would be featured in the next issues
too! Grammars are not perfect which sometimes make the questions & answer hard
to grasp, but hell, Hail for all the effort this guy & the bands made to answer
all in their best way! Yes, the Excrofula intie is a bit dizzying! For now, read
all about it here! No wasted space here! I think this is available by trade 'coz

EROTIC ASPHYXIUM #9 - 32 Pages B/W A4. Officially released January 2004.
Minus the front & back covers, 3 full page band photos of GOREROTTED, CORROSIVE
& CANNIBAL CORPSE, 1 page of AEA's own advert, 2 pages of Weblinks Page and 1
page of the Editor's Page.. you still got 23 pages of reading! And you'll gonna
read through some Poetry written by 4 people, Fanzine reviews, Albums reviews,
Film Reviews & a forum like article about Internet Bootlegging. Yes, No
Interviews! The Editor has his reasons given on the 2nd page. The review style
for all, that is zine, music & films, are long & impressionistic. You will
also see how the reviewer is very knowledgeable of the bands he is dealing with.
Band's reviewed are mixed of Big label releases to independent. The film reviews
are not really a 'hard to find' film or 'horror-gore-cult-banned' films but
'what is out there' films which you can easily rent or buy or probably being
shown at your cinema. And for the 'Internet Bootlegging' issue, you'll get
opinions from 10 people. Overall, a good read! Few photos & we all hope

SLAYER 1, 2 & 3. 18, 20 & 18 pages respectively. A comic book send by
Dave of AEA Zine, but this is done by Mr. Mick Morris or simply Mickmo. I could
not say that this is a Metal Comic as I have no idea what or how a Metal
Comic should be. But I think Mr. Mickmo is very much into metal! I'm not into
Comics at all, I remember my classmates exchanging those Marvel & other local
comics when I was really young, but I never got into it. Maybe because I got
hold of a porno mag first! Ha ha ha. Seriously, even though I watch anime I
don't read comics even the Marvel stuff. Although I remember browsing through
the 'heavy metal' comic/mag 'coz a friend of mine insist on trying to read it &
probably I might like it but I did not. Anyway, I did read this comic, ok, more
than twice really! If I understand it right, the story lies on how our world is
saved by a former exterminator & a woman from mutated bugs who had ruled the
world after the nuclear holocaust, but I think not really specified, but the
setting is far in the future & post apocalyptic! That's the direct story line, I
guess. I really can't say about the artwork 'coz I really don't know if I should
compare it to what? I think you really have to get hold of this to really
appreciate it! But one is definite, this is not for kids! And on all three
issues, you will also get some piece of the artist's life & mind. I'm not quite
sure how much is this in today's market, but I think this OK for trade, so please

"TALES OF RETRIBUTION II" - Another comics by Mr. Mickmo. The story line
here seems similar to the Matrix story, where humans are in the womb of a
machine & the reality that they know is only in their mind controlled by the
machine. But this has a more shortened, direct & darker story telling. Still
futuristic. The Metal influence of Mr. Mickmo is more noticeable here as band
names & horror or suspense film titles are drawn in the background in some of
the scenes. Just beware of the Hellstar... the what? you might say...get this to
know it! he he he Also, some personal history of the artist is included. Check

MADNESS #3 - 36 pages excluding the glossy covers. Front cover
with Surrender of Divinity of Thailand & Back cover with Nechbeyth of
Singapore. A4 size & really clear copies. I think this will be the last issued
with Syukri but as it is mentioned here this will be continued by the remaining
warriors of this zine! What's in this issue? Besides the 'Sabbat' mania?
Ravager, To Elysium, Abominator, Al Iblis, Katafalk, Hell Dormant, Surrender of
Divinity, Crustacean, Pyron, Nechbeyth, Kaliyuga, Defiled, Terror Squad, Beast
petrify, Morbosidad plus the reviews separated in Cd, Cd-r, Cassette, Video,
Vinyl & Zines plus the Indian Scene Report by Riju & A gig report from the
Philippines by Vro of Metal Havoc Zine. All these are in small readable
fonts in a very clear laser copies, so you will have a nice long read! Not all
bands have photos though. And I think some of the inties here are
contributed in the 1st issue of Metal India Zine. The reviews are from all over
the world but with emphasis in the Asian u/g metal! Some are with photos of the
covers. Overall, this is a great reading material for real u/g creatures & for
those who are into asian u/g metal! This zine is one of the biggest supporter of
