Last night in South Dakota the 2001 REwind Video Award winners were announced. TEWS Entertainment was nominated for four awards in the BEST SHORT, BEST ACTOR, BEST COSTUME, and BEST TRAILER categories. When the winners were announced TEWS came away with only one award... but it was the big one.... BEST SHORT FILM!!! This make two straight wins for TEWS as last year we won Best Film for our action adventure film OF FORTUNE AND GLORY.

I want to first congratulate my fantastic cast which includes KRIS NICHOLS who played the role of The Man brilliantly, SCOTT HARRIS who surprised us all with his acting ability, my wonderful and talented sister JEN WOODS who has been in 4 TEWS productions and hopefully more and BECKY KWIATKOWSKI who looked great as The Hooker. You guys had it rough with two late night shoots and four grueling days in the dungeon of Mohawk College but you were nothing but professional about it which made production run smoothly. Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart... you made the movie come to life!!! I'm sure Robert F. Carroll (the guy who wrote the play) would be happy!!!

We want to thank the crew of TOAM which included Tim's wife Shelly Sullivan and my fiancée Janet Baldwin... thanks for being patient. We want to thank Jayne Woods and Marsha MacCreide at Mohawk College for the use of the Student Centre which was transformed into the TOAM train station. We also want to thank my parents who have supported my dream since day one... especially my dad who came up with the great final shot of the film. And last but not least... all of my friends out there who continue to support us and watch our movies.

Thanks again to everyone and we go for 3 in a row next year with FOR ALL TIME.

Due to time restrictions, THREE ON A MATCH will be completed on April 30 with a temp track score and not Michael Tutton's original score. Michael was unable to complete his score on time for the April 30 deadline. However, Michael will still be working on the score throughout the summer and hopefully will have a completed score by the fall. Now, what does this mean for purchasing the tape? Well, THREE ON A MATCH will not be ready for order until August as we will be including it along side TEWS' other project FOR ALL TIME. We will be sending out promotional copies for review to curtain individuals but most of you will have to wait until August or for it's exclusive premiere at REwind Video in there on-line theatre this summer.

APRIL 19, 2001
Tonight director Erik Woods and composer Michael Tutton will sit down and work on the score for THREE ON A MATCH. Michael has already composed about 2 1/2 minutes of music for the film, and hopefully most it will be written out in some form tonight.

Editing of THREE ON A MATCH continues. On Feb 6 editor Erik Woods worked on the temp music track. With selections from THE FOG, WHAT LIES BENEATH, JAWS 2, and THE FURY important scenes like the opening scene, finale and end credits have began to take shape. Foley recording of certain soundeffects will begin tonight at Erik's home and then mixed into the film on Thursday. With any hope a temp version of the film will be viewed over the weekend with producer Tim Sullivan and selected family members. Meanwhile, composer Michael Tutton will begin composing the original score for the film this coming weekend in his basement studio.

Lastly, a trailer will be worked on sometime next week and uploaded on this site. We will also be presenting a short clip from the film... possibly the opening scene... just to get your heart pumping... stay tuned!

JANUARY 29, 2001
The first cut of THREE ON A MATCH was completed friday evening by editor Erik Woods. This version was then handed over to composer Michael Tutton who will be writing the score for the picture. Hopefully, the score will be finished by the end of February, ready to be added by the first week of March. In the meantime, Erik Woods will be adding sound effects, recording foley and adding a temp score track for preview screenings in the middle of February. Running time of the first cut is just under 30 minutes.

On September 24 the cast and crew of THREE ON A MATCH officially wrapped up principle photography. You can see a still of director Erik Woods saying "That's a wrap!" at 12:30am by clicking HERE. Next week, Erik Woods will start loading the footage into the new AFFINITY edit suite set up in Toronto and hopefully will begin editing the week after. If God loves us, then THREE ON A MATCH will be fully edited in time for composer Michael Tutton to compose the original score for the completed target date some time in late November. That, of course, if God loves us...

AUGUST 21, 2000
Filming of THREE ON A MATCH continued during the weekend of August 11th and 13th. As mentioned below we completed our night scene with a grueling 6 hour shoot on Friday to 11th which ended at about 3:30am Saturday morning. Sunday saw the production move back to Mohawk College where the cast and crew continued filming the train station scenes with Kris Nichols and Jen Woods. Even though they filmed for 5 hours there is still one more day of shooting with actors Scott Harris and Kris Nichols to complete priciple photography.
As a treat again for those who want to get an inside look at the film we have uploaded twelve more pictures from the making of THREE ON A MATCH. Click HERE to see them.

AUGUST 11, 2000
THREE ON A MATCH gets back into the swing of things with a heavy shoot schedule for this up coming weekend. In order to wrap up production, cast and crew will continue filming the night scene on Friday August 11. Saturday will be an off day until a long and hopefully eventful Sunday afternoon and evening shoot which will most likely be the last day of principle photography. If all of this happens editing will begin next week on the new AFFINITY edit system which is now set up in the new HBC Communications Digital Media offices. Stay tuned for more next week...

JULY 19, 2000
THREE ON A MATCH continued filming both on Saturday July 15 during the night and Sunday July 16 during the afternoon. We shot about and hour and a half of footage and as of right now we probably have three quarters of the film shot. We have one more shoot day at Mohawk College this coming Sunday as well as one more night shoot to pick up the missing shots from last Saturday's night shoot. Hopefully, by the end of this coming weekend we will have the entire film shot and ready to be edited. And in order for this film to be seen by a wide audience TEWS Entertainment and the team at REwind Video have agreed to premiere THREE ON A MATCH on the REwind Video web site some time this summer.

As a treat again for those who want to get an inside look at the film we have uploaded ten more pictures from the making of THREE ON A MATCH. Click HERE to see them.

JULY 10, 2000
THREE ON A MATCH began filming on Sunday July 9th at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario. We shot about 40 minutes of tape of which about 7 minutes will be used in the final cut. Filming will continue on Saturday, July 15th at 8pm in Binbrook, Ontario just outside Tim Sullivan's home. The cast and crew will also be back at Mohawk College on Sunday July 16th to continue the interior shots. So far everything is running smoothly and both Erik Woods and Tim Sullivan are pleased with what they have shot and are looking forward to the up coming shoots. If everything goes well, principle photography will be wrapped up on Sunday.
