i met dave for the first time at the kroq show in december 2001. the situation could not have been more perfect since there was not many people around and he had the time to chat with me for a little while. despite the fact that he is a huge tallented rock star he was very down to earth and genuinely kind. its not easy talking to the one person in the world you want to meet but he was so friendly it kept me from getting completely overwelmed. there was no hiding my extreme admiration for him and took no advatage of it, he wouldn't even take credit for their great performance that night. we got to talk about his music and the foo fighters upcoming album. i tried to tell him what his music is to me but that is pretty much impossible, the best i could do was thank him and that felt good enough. dave is a very humble person who finds humor in his fame and best of all apprciates his fans. in fact he says it best himself: "it's my purpose that i demonstrate... that you can believe in something you see on television or buy in the record store and then meet in the flesh. there shouldn't be any blurred area where that person who you believe in on an album is a prick in real life." i've met him a couple more times since then and he's always nice enough to take the time for a smile and a hug.

leaving all the best
You know my hero the one thats on. . . ."
