God Truly Does Guide, Heal and Protect

God Shows The Way To Who Stole From Him....

Praise God! The Lord makes his Word real by example again! 06JAN98

An associate minister of the church in this article related this article to me

The night before last, one of the local church/christian schools in Gassville, AR. was broken into.

The thief, who broke through a back door had for some unknown reason, gone straight to the kitchen, got one of their microwaves (the smallest, though larger ones were more accessable) took a can opener (for what purpose we are not sure) then went to a school office and took $8.50. If he would have gone into another drawer, he would have found several hundred dollars. He then goes to the pastor's office where he took check books and some church records (why the church records? Your guess is as good as mine). Then He left the building.

The police found his finger-prints over everything. They even found a knee- print(?). Apparently, he didn't try to hide his presence, or he was not very educated in stealing from the Lord's Work.

Later, today, a fisherman on one of the area lakes, found something floating. As he approached it, he discovered that it was a safe.

THAT's RIGHT! A STEEL SAFE!

I was reminded that Elisha had a situation like this. In 2 Kings 6:1-7, a man was cutting down a tree. The iron head of his axe fell of and into the water. They apparently couldn't see it, since and it was borrowed, they had to fint it.

Elisha took a branch and threw it into the water and the "iron" axe-head floated to the top of the water.

Here was an steel (made with iron, anyway it's heavy) safe floating on the water. Yes, Floating! Why would God allow the steel safe to float.

The safe came from a church located not far away which was also broken into. The safe contained the check-books of the church broken into last night.

Then when the pastor was able to see his checkbooks he found also ten dollars which he always kept there. The thief didn't find it.

It is my opinion that God wanted to be sure that the man, who had robbed both churches, would be gotten for both roberies. The Word say, "Your sins will find you out." This man's sin had indeed found him out.

The police believe that the man robbed both churches and tried to get rid of some of the evidence by throwing it into the lake, probably from a bridge..... WRONG!! God made the iron axe head float and he could easily make a steel safe float! Isn't God Wonderful?

Even the police were totally amazed with the safe floating. One had even said that it was "miracle" that it was floating, but it this floating safe part is not found in the news reports.

Why? Well they couldn't give public confession that God helped find the thief, could they? Again, I praise God!

Praise God!
