About us
The Northern Ireland Bonsai Society was founded in 1986 by a small group of people interested in this wonderful art form and realised the need for an organisation to promote and further it in this country.
Everyone who has seen a display of fine Bonsai is likely to be convinced of their great beauty. We are a society dedicated to spreading awareness and knowledge of these beautiful trees and bringing them to the attention of the General Public.
The Society holds a meeting on the Second Friday of every month at 8.00pm. (Except July). We meet in the Cregagh Library, Cregagh Road, Belfast.
During the year we run different Events such as our Annual Show and Styling Workshops and display our trees at various locations to promote the Art of Bonsai.
We try to bring Bonsai enthusiasts together from all over Northern Ireland to share ideas and knowledge. Concentrating on beginners to the hobby we arrange demonstrations and workshops to teach the basic principles of Bonsai.
Are you interested in Bonsai? If the answer is yes, why not take the plunge and join us. You get great value for money at only £10.00 for a single membership and we are ideal for both beginners and enthusiasts alike.
