The Kagetai HomeFAQ1. What is the Kagetai?Out of Character (OOC): Originally formed by Tokio of Mibu no Okami, the Kagetai consists of writers who have created characters that live in the Rurouni Kenshin world. It is simular to an RPG except that instead of actually having people actively role play their characters, we write stories using our own and other members characters. In essence, we're a writing group. In Character (IC): The Kagetai was formed by Saitou Hajime in 1864. We are Saitou's eyes, ears, and weapons. Sometimes we work along, sometimes in groups. Our basic purpose is to help Saitou uphold the principle of "Aku, Soku, Zan" and to protect Japan. 2. Under Saitou, who is in charge? Whoever Saitou appoints to lead the mission. The Kagetai doesn't have any sort of ranking system simply so that we don't get into any squabbles OOC. The closest thing we have to any sort of rank is that Tenrou was the founding member. That's where it starts, and that's where it stops. 3. Can I write hentai (anime pron) with the Kagetai members? Technically, yes but don't send it out to the mailing list. If you really want to, you can put a blurb in one of your e-mails saying that you've written it (without giving any details) and, then, those who are interested in reading it can reply to you through private mail, requesting that you send a copy, also through private mail. We can't have this sort of mail going through egroups or they'll shut us down. Also, don't expect to see this sort of story on this site unless you do some MAJOR editing and cut out all the inappropriate parts for the same reasons. 4. What era does this take place in? It begins in the Bakumutsu and continues into the Meiji. Think Rurouni Kenshin: both the TV series AND the OAVs. 5. Does my character have to be connected with any of the other characters upon creation? No, but many times, this does help to add depth and history to your character. Just be sure to okay it with the owner of the already-existing character first. 6. Can I do two personas? You cannot have two charaters, in the Kagetai. Just your main chara, who is an actual memeber of the Kagetai, plus however many side-character as you want. Just remember, none of the side characters can actually be Kagetai members. 7. If I were to joing, what abilities am I allowed or not allowed to have? First off, we don't want to limit anyones creativity but at the same time, we don't want to be overshadowed by a god like character. The best suggestion is to read over the profiles of the characters that have already been accepted and try to figure out what YOU think the Kagetai needs the most. Just remember, nobody likes a power player. 8. How do I join? For now, go to Tokio's Kagetai site but clicking here. Later we will have a page up on this site about how to join. Also, you can send your profiles to Mia-chan, G-sama, Mitsuhiro, or me (Keitei) rather than to Tokio or Milinar. |
