Pokemon: Typholosion and Beedrill
Yup, you guessed it, the trainer from Pokemon Gold and Silver is the lead character in this special. It's also quite misunderstood that he's replacing Ash, but really, he's not. Basically his attitude is much prideful as the lyrics to the song goes. Kenta's main strategy is to pummel his foes down with power attack. Has a nice victory pose which I like. ("OK! Kanpeki!" - "OK! Flawless!")


Marina
Pokemon: Crocnaw, Misdreavous, and Jigglypuff
This is the female trainer straight out of Crystal version. Her goal is sorta different than Kenta's, but similiar in a way. (Wants to be an "Idol Trainer") She likes to get people with her charms in battle by the common just-beacause-she's-a-girl reason. Tends to like mixing in English words in her sentences every other line.


Jyunichi
Pokemon Used: Meganium (Only known)
Appears later in the special. Seems to have a crush on Marina. (sorry, I litterally haven't seen the special yet, just some clips.)


Basho (Left) and Buso (Right)
Pokemon: Skarmory/Steelix
The two villians of the special. They try to capture Raiko using the "Crsytal System". Basho tends to act like the main guy (Yea, Basho's a guy) of the group. Like most other Rockets other than Jesse and James, these two are rather ruthless.
