Jimmy Reed

While born in Mississippi, Jimmy Reed moved to Chicago in 1943 where he was a stark contrast to the gritty urban blues of Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. His more "laid back" style created more of a cross-over audience and helped popularize the blues in Chicago.
