"Are we there yet?"
"No."
"Are we there yet?"
"No!"
"Are we there yet?"
"NO!" JC shouted, shoving Joey into the back room.
"So, are we in Chicago yet?" Danny asked.
"Looks like we're almost there," JC replied. They were several hours on their way tp the Windy City to get settled in for their spot on "Oprah" the next day. Everyone was getting a bit restless (Chris was torturing the Backstreet Boys toys he got at Burger King, now armless) so JC was anticipating their arrival.
"We're here," the driver announced as they pulled in front of the hotel.
"Wow. This is like, a rich people hotel," Danny said as they walked through the doors being held open by bell-hops. They approached the front desk to get the keys to their rooms.
"We have 5 rooms," JC said. "I am staying with Chris, Justin is staying alone, and Lance is staying with Joey."
"What?! There is no way I'm staying in a room with him," Lance protested. "All he does is jump up and down on the beds and see how long he can run up and down the halls screaming 'fire' before someone will come out of their room."
"You can't stay with Justin," JC said. "He needs to have his own bathroom in the morning so we can all get out on time."
"Why don't YOU have to stay with Joey?"
"Fine! Its not that big a deal," JC said. "You stay with Chris! Anyways, AP and Danny share a room, and Molly gets her own room. Fair enough?" Everyone agreed and took their appropriate keycards.
"I gotta go se if they have free mints in the lounge!" Joey said as he took off towards the center on the lobby.
"Bonus. You get to carry his luggage up," Justin said to JC. They made their way to the elevators. Just before the doors closed, Joey slipped back in. He began pushing all the buttons.
"Let me guess--free candies?" Molly asked.
"Yup. All kinds of 'em," he replied as he showed her the stash in his mouth and in his pocket that he had saved for later. As they made one of their many stops on the way to their floor, someone got on but quickly stepped off after seeing all the highlighted buttons.
"Soooooooo embarrassing...." JC said as he stared at the ceiling.
"And you get to stay with him all night!" Lance said excitedly.
After getting all their luggage into their rooms, they gathered back in the hallway.
"So what should we do tonight?" JC asked.
"EAT!" Justin responded. They agreed and decided to walk around to find somewhere close since they didn't feel like braving Chicago traffic.
"Cheesecake Factory," Lace said as they walked by a small group of stores. "How about there?" Everyone agreed so they went in. After walking halfway through the restarant before coming to the receptionist's desk, they learned that there was a wait.
"So how long is the wait for the next table?" Lance asked.
"It'll be about an hour," the girl replied. "Hey... aren't you... you're NSYNC!!!"
"So we've been told..." Lance said.
"I can get you a table in.... 5 minutes, okay?" the girl said as she took off.
"Wow. Cool stuff happens when you're famous," Danny said. JC ran back to the hotel to get some pictures and stuff for them to autograph for their waitress. He got back about ten minutes later and Lance showed him where their table was. When it was time for dessert, they ended up eating a whole cheese cake among them all.
"We have to go back to the hotel," JC said as they were leaving the restaraunt.
"that's right," Chris said. "We have 'Oprah' tomorrow. My entire career has been building to this point."
"I wanna stop by the mall first," Justin complained.
"Yeah, I wanna get a big-ass lollipop," Joey added. "The kind they only sell at malls." (Sasha says he likes those.)
"Alright," JC said. "Go to the mall, but don't be too late."
Joey went to the mall accompanied by Justin, Molly, and Danny. Entering, he scoped out the scene. His face bore a look of purpose. A look of determination. A look that said, "I'm gonna get me a big-ass lollipop."
"I'm gonna get me a big-ass lollipop," Joey said. He spotted a kiosk that carried the item he wanted. He approached the stand and began inspecting the lollipops for defects.
"If you're gonna buy something, buy it, but quit touching them all," the woman working the stand objected. Joey saw this as an opportunity to turn on the charm.
"Hey there, foxy lady. Those are some mighty fine lollipops you got there," he said cooly.
"You gonna buy something, slick?" the middle-aged vendor asked.
"I sure would enjoy one of these lollipops," he replied.
"Then gimme the $14 95 and go away."
"Fifteen freakin dollars for that thing?!"
"If you can find it somewhere else, I would love for you to go buy it there. Otherwise, buy it and leave me alone."
"I don't suppose you'd like to give me one of those big-ass lollipops, would you?"
"I don't suppose you'd like one of those lollipops shoved up your big ass, would you? Nevermind."
"Yikes. Someone's a little cold," Joey said as he dished out 15 bucks as she glared back. "Maybe you need someone to warm you up a little."
Justin, Molly, and Danny dragged Joey out of the mall as the woman began calling mall security.
"Hey, she was totally feelin me," Joey protested.
"Joey, she threatened to assault you with a candy item," Molly said.
"I know. Kinda kinky, huh? Lets go back in there and--" Joey began walking towards the door but was stopped when they started dragging him back in the direction of the hotel. "Okay, but we're coming back tomorrow."
After making it back to the hotel and up to their rooms (which proved a little difficult due to the accumulation of some teeny-boppers) they restrained Joey to his room.
"Come on, guys! That chic down at the consirgee desk totally wanted me," Joey argued.
"That chic down at the concierge desk could have been your mother," Justin said. "Now go to sleep."
"You guys can't keep me in here for--Ooh! Mini-bar!" Joey said as he dove back into his room.
"Shouldn't we?--"
"No," Justin replied. "As long as he's in there, we aren't contractually responsible for him."
"Oh... good..." Danny replied.
"Better get some rest, kiddies, for tomorrow, we do 'Oprah!'"
