I ask you guys, since we're in this together, have you ever read an interview where they're asked, "Tell us, how great is it being famous?" Uh huh, no article that I can think of...but I can't tell you the numerous times I've picked up a magazine and they're ask, "What's one thing that you use to be able to do before you made it big, that you can't do now?" "Well, der I can't have sex with an underage girl without it being in the tabloids the next morning... Oh and I can't cheat on my girlfriend as easily as I did before, and then there's the fact that I can't forge someone else's checks...oh god it sucks being famous~!" You bet it does, or at least that's what they want you to believe. Sure the BsB are attacked by screaming girl whose favorite hobbies include throwing their underwear, scaling fences, screaming in ears, clawing/grabbing, and ripping fabric. Believe me I know all about these fans, I've seen them, and I can only image the crap that the BsB has to put up with ( here it comes) BUT they knew exactly what they were getting into when they set out to become singers. They knew about the screaming fans, the "flashes of light", nosey reports, etc from the get go. I'd even go as far as to say that before they were famous, when they were still singing at malls, they prayed for all that. Well, you know what they say, be careful what you wish for...
This is exactly why I can't feel sorry for them, exactly why it pisses me off that everytime I read an article, in which the BsB are interviewed. If anyone should be whining it's us fans. The most resent example of why it should be us to bitch and not them is this whole concert ticket deal. I don't know about you but I can't go spending 200+ bucks for a damn ticket. Sorry but I have other things I need to pay for and a concert ticket isn't one of them. So what does this all mean? It means I had better bring my Kleenex because I'm in nose bleed again. I'm kinda pissed, but mostly annoyed that I can't go see the BsB and get decent tickets for a reasonable price. This is just one of many reasons why the fans have grounds to bitch and moan, not the BsB, the ones making da mad cash. Frankly I'm sick of listening to the complaining they do, whether fueled by the journalists or not.
Instead of bitching about not having guy fans why not be thankful for the fans you do have because you never know how long you'll have them. One day you could wake up and your 15 mins of fame with be over and then you'll be back to wishing for anyone to listen...no matter the gender. You never know the true value of what you have until it's gone, so make the freakin best of it while you've got it. The only thing left I have to say is if I was a singer and my concert venues were selling out in 10 mins I'd shut up real fast and realize, damn I'm fucking lucky to have such dedicated fans, even if they are females.
