"Hey you guys," Chris said, trying to hide his smile,"what are we going to do next?"
Stephanie picked up on what he was up to and played along. "Well, I thought that maybe we could all go shopping."
The other nodded their heads in agreement. That was all but Joey. He gave them a shocked look, and spoke up. "But, you guys..I thought we were going to eat! My stomach is growling, and Jc, you can't tell me that wasn't your stomach I heard in there."
Jc shook his head. "Man, that wasn't mine..that was YOURS!"
Joey snickered. "Yeah, uh huh whatever."
Jc laughed. "Man, you fall for that EVERYTIME!"
Joey pouted and looked at Whitney. "You're boyfriend is mean."
Her eyes were gleaming, and she almost lost control at the look he was giving her. She squeezed Jc's hand to keep from totally busting out laughing. "That's just the way I like him."
Jc didn't miss the way she had said it, and suddenly he didn't want to go eat anymore.
He leaned his head down and whispered in her ear. She smiled, and nodded her head.
"Umm..guys..we're going to skip lunch. We have some plans that we um..forgot about."
Everyone laughed. "Yeah, sure..I'm sure those plans just ahem popped right up, didn't they?" Chris said, as his eyes danced with laughter.
Denise watched the exchange and suddenly wished that Justin and her's plans would suddenly change too. 'There's not a good chance of that happening,' she thought to herself, and turned her attention to Justin who was busy talking to Lance and Stephanie. She walked over to him and placed an arm around his waist. She was trying to give him hints, but he just wasn't getting it.
She grabbed his hand, and he looked down at her. "What's wrong, babe?"
"Can I talk to you over there please?"
He nodded his head, and they walked to a spot away from the group. She didn't get his attention until Jc and Whitney had pulled out of the parking lot. Once they were gone, his eyes fixated on her.
She walked up to him, and leaned her head on his chest. He was shocked by the movement, but placed his arms around her to draw her closer.
"Denise, is something wrong? You're being awful clingy."
She shook her head. "I just like spending time with you." She let her eyes drift up to meet his. "I like spending ALONE time with you even better."
He finally caught on to what she was saying, and he smiled. "Babe, we can't just leave like Jc and Shorty did."
That was another thing that made Denise uneasy. Whitney had a nickname that Justin had gave her, and everyone had just adopted it. But, had she gotten one? No. She was called Babe, and to her that just wasn't a nickname. She wasn't going to get angry over something stupid like that, but she really wanted to know why he could't see her like he saw Whitney. Just once, and maybe that would reasure her heart.
"Um, Justin, we can leave. I'm sure that they wouldn't mind. Plus, we can go out with them anytime. We can't truly be ALONE anytime we wish."
He shrugged, and turned his head to look at the other guys. "Whatever you want to do is fine with me. Just let me tell them we're leaving."
She nodded and stayed put as he walked toward the guys and Stephanie to tell them they were leaving. The smile on her face was one of satisfactory.
A few minutes later, they were in the car, headed home, when they passed a motel. Denise knew that Whitney and Jc had went back to her house, so an idea popped into her head. "Justin, lets get a room here."
He gave her a weird look, but pulled in. He didn't climb out, but turned to look at her. "What's wrong with your place?"
"Well, I mean, I bet Jc and Whitney are there, and we don't want to interrupt them..plus remember this is what I want to do."
The evil look in her eyes convinced him, and he opened the door. "Maybe you should go get the room. I could just hear the tabloids if someone got a hold of this."
She nodded her head, and walked briskly to the office. A few minutes later she returned, and grabbed Justin's arm. She pulled him to the room, and before she opened the door, her lips locked onto his.
His eyebrows went up in shock, but he recovered quickly. They got the door open, and he shut it with his foot. The two of them fell back onto the bed.
'I bet Whitney could never make him feel this way.'
(Back at Denise's house)
Jc pushed the door open to the room that they were staying at. He had Whitney in his arms, which hadn't been an easy task. She had insited on walking into the room, but he was determined to make this somewhat romantic.
Once inside the room, he sat her down so he could lock the door. When he turned around, he found her standing right by him, and his lips immediately found hers.
They both wanted the same thing very badly. Jc's lips trailed over her jaw line, and when they reached the tender skin at her neck, she let out a low moan.
Jc smiled, and continued on his path. They shuffled over to the bed, and their hands intwined. He let his lips brush her shoulder, which was bared by the tank top she was wearing. She shuddered, and her hand moved away from his to find his hair. She let her fingers run through the strands, and it seemed to edge him on. He lifted her shirt with his hand, and he kissed the area around her belly button.
She was ticklish, and squirmed. He looked up at her, and spoke in ragged breaths. His voice was low and husky. "If you weren't so damn ticklish, it might feel good."
She smiled, and pulled him so that his lips were back on hers. "I like it."
He growled, and she laughed. His lips released hers and made the same path back down. This time though, he took her shirt completely off. He placed kisses all over her stomach, and her hands went down to reach the edge of his shirt.
She allowed them to slip up through so she could feel his very defined stomach, and her hands eagerly pulled the shirt over his head.
Once again, his lips found hers, and he rolled over, pulling her on top. She laid her lips on his collar bone, and was about to kiss his chest when the phone rang.
Jc groaned, but Whitney didn't stop. She didn't care who was on that phone, no one was ruining this right now.
After five or six rings, she finally grew frustrated with it, and rolled off Jc so he could answer it. He took a deep breath before speaking into the reciever.
"Hello."
He heard laughing in the background, and he knew immediately who it was. "You guys..BAD TIMING."
"Yeah, we know. That's the point of it."
"Who's idea was this? Justin's?"
"No, actually mine," Chris said, still laughing. "Justin and Densie left. They could be on their way to the house, or they may have not even made it that far."
"Ok, bye Chris."
"But,"
"Bye."
Jc said, as he unpluged it from the outlet. He turned back around to where he was facing Whitney.
"Where were we?"
Denise was in pure heaven. Justin kissed her lips, and she could taste the sweat on his lips. A few minutes later, he moved over so that he could pull her to him. She smiled, and laid her head down on his chest.
The next words out of her mouth not only shocked Justin, but her as well. "I love you," she said, and then immediately realized what she had said.
"Um,..umm."
He looked at her, and didn't know what to say. He really liked her, but he didn't know if he was to the point of loving her. To him, those were very strong words that he just didn't know if he was ready to say. He knew that it could come in time, but he didn't want to say false things, so he was honest with her.
"Denise, I wish I could say the same thing..but I am just confused at this point. I'm sorry, baby."
"It's ok Justin..it will come in time." 'You can count on that,' she added silently.
