WHOLE EARTH FESTIVAL REPORT:
The Whole Earth Festival was a success. Over 200 people registered Green and the Green buttons and bumperstickers were a hit. A big thank you to all those who helped. RALLY FOR TRANSIT:
Come show your support for public transportation by coming to a Rally Monday, May 22 at noon on the West Steps of the State  Capitol, Sacramento. Major funding deliberations are currently underway in Sacramento that will affect every transit provider and every transit rider for many years to come. Support more money for transit, including bikes, better planning, and housing development that is transit-friendly.

SAVE THE SACRAMENTO TRAIN DEPOT:
The Sacramento County Green Party recently joined a coalition of neighborhood activists, environmental and preservation organizations, and public transit advocates in calling for the preservation of the Sacramento Train Depot as a public transit hub for Sacramento.

We encourage all Greens to call and write their City Council Members asking them to preserve the Sacramento Train Depot and to work towards making it a transit hub for Sacramento. For more information contact David Shorey at 916-442-0666 -or- dshorey@jps.net

BROWER SPEAKS ON FORESTS:
Thursday May 25th at 7:45 PM,at the University of California, Davis campus, in room 1100 Social Sciences David Brower and Doug Bevington will speak on the Campaign to End Commercial Logging and the current state of our forests in California.  David Brower has been leading conservation battles since 1938, and in 1969 he founded Friends of the Earth.
