       Cooperstown, New York
(Home of the Baseball Hall of Fame)

July 2, 2001
As a baseball fan, it has always been Bessie's dream to visit Cooperstown, New York. As any baseball fan knows, this is where the Baseball Hall of Fame is located. Cooperstown is a picturesque small village in the middle of the state. The entire town is built up around the hall of fame, with the downtown area sporting many baseball themed shops and restaurants. We caught a photograph of the Cooperstown sign on our way into town. After driving around for 30 minutes trying to find a place to park, we walked about 6 blocks through town. The next picture was taken right outside the hall of fame. After all the walking, Bessie needed a rest! The lady reading her book didn't even look up once. Finally we made it inside. The third picture was in the art gallery where Bessie enjoyed this famous Norman Rockwell piece. The last picture was in the Hall of Fame Gallery where all the plaques are located. Bessie found many of her favorite players here, but didn't understand why she was escorted out after inquiring as to the location of the Pete Rose plaque.
