KRISTINE'S SHOWBIZ EVOLUTION

"I started in 'Ang TV.' Nag-audition ako for 'Ang TV' kasama ko yung sister ko si Kathleen Hermosa, tapos bale hindi naman talaga ako dapat mago-audition eh, pero siya 'yung nagyaya sa akin. Kasi I don't know how to sing naman, I don't know how to act, I don't know how to dance, siya talaga, lahat alam niya. 'Okay, sasamahan lang kita, wala naman masamang mag-try,' so siya yung talang nagbuyo sa akin. So nag-audition na ako, ako yung natanggap… Nag Star Circle na ako tapos naging mainstay na ako ng 'Gimik' (as Tin Tin Fernanadez)—ang first. 'Kaybol,' tapos saka na nagkaroon nung 'Sa Sandaling Kailangan mo ako …' It was the biggest break in my career. Kasi dito I got the chance to work with distinguished actors and actresses. And Direk Olive Lamasan taught me a lot, she taught me different techniques in acting. At dito sa show na ito ako na train ng husto." And when 'Star Drama Theater' came, she was simply overwhelmed. "Happy ako, kasi wow!, actually hindi ko ini-expect na magkakaroon ako ng Star drama tapos ahm, kahit papano maganda naman daw ang ratings kaya natutuwa talaga ako…"

She may exude the character of a sophisticated actress and possess the beauty of a fine woman, however, do not be deceived by your naked eye, because what lies beneath the façade is a young and innocent sweet sixteen year old girl. When not busy taping "Munting Paraiso" and "Richard Loves Lucy", Kristine is seen hanging around the ABS-CBN Talent Center; her perky modes and carefree moves surely bring warmth to the cold walls of Talent Center or in any place. Like you and other teenagers, she loves shopping and has this fetish for cute and interesting bags. Ask her what's in her bag, and Kristine would say, "organizer 'yun ang hindi nawawala sa bag ko, cell phone tsaka mga case". She collects Winnie the Pooh stuff, "Oo yung room ko, lahat Winnie the Pooh; bed room slippers, lahat!" Kristine enjoys listening to sentimental love songs and R&B music. However, there is one hobby that was put aside due to her busy schedule—that is, sketching. "Actually maski nung bata pa ako mahilig akong mag-drawing. Alam mo 'yung kokopyahin mo, ido-draw mo tapos ipi-paint mo, kaso ngayon wala na talaga akong time." She reads books that center on witchcraft and other interesting stories that only the imagination can explore. At sweet sixteen she already knows the kind of guy for her. "Simple. As much as possible ayoko ng nasa showbiz, tapos, maganda yung mata at saka lips tsaka yung maganda yung smile".

Kristine is a third year high school student at the ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center. She intends to take up Mass Communication and be a director someday. In the not so distant future, she dreams of portraying a role like that of Julia Roberts' in "Notting Hill."

Career plans? None. "Ayokong mag-plano. Ahm, kung hanggang saan lang 'yung mapupuntahan ko, kung hanggang saan lang ang maa-abot ko, kung hanggang saan lang 'yung ibigay sa akin ni Lord, happy na ako doon".
