Whitewater Rafting September 14 - 16, 2001 | ||
Brave souls prepare for another
adventure. This one to North Carolina to raft the Nantahala River.
This was a FANTASTIC trip. REALLY,
REALLY FUN. The scouts gave an average score of 9 (which is
pretty good considering their harsh grading system - most trips get a 6 or
7).
If you wonder why it only got a 9, well, it would have been a 10 except for a little problem getting into the camp site on top of the hill (and then around to the bottom on the other side). The soil was powdery around one corner, so, at 11 P.M. at night we had to unload the trailer on the dirt road and carry our stuff up the hill and reload it.
Adult area, making breakfast.
OK, we'll give you a 30 second rafting lesson before sending you down the river. A key point here. Hold the end of the paddle with your hand - or your liable to take your partners teeth out.. Next page
