Ponnani is located in Malappuram District of Kerala state. This tiny, picturesque town is bounded by the Arabian sea on the west and is a popular coastal belt of Malabar. Ponnani shares it's boundary with the district of Palakkad on the east and Trichur on the south. Ponnani is connected by road from Kuttipuram and Guruvayoor railway stations. National Highway 17 passes through this town, which is divided by the Canolly Canal, adding to its beauty.
