How do you get addon tracks?

Download:

The Patch
Makes the game run smoother
and allows you to pod up
to 99 track/trucks

WinZip
This is the main ingredient
for opening and closing
(Zipping and Unzipping)
addon tracks and trucks.

Podini2
This makes it easier to "Pod"
the tracks and trucks that you wanna use.

Click on a track/truck to download

Save the file to disk

Click "Save"

"Open" with winzip.

"Extract" to:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Monster Truck Madness 2

Use Podini2 to pod
the tracks/trucks.

Do You know how to change the latency in the multiplayer?

1. Goto the MTM2 files
(C: \Program Files\
Microsoft Games\
Monster Truck Madness 2)

2. Click on the "System" folder

3. Click on Monster

4. Under [Game]
goto "latencydisplay="2",
and change it to "1"

5. Click on "File", and save it.

Temorarily close unwanted programs:

1. Press Alt + Ctrl + Delete

2. Click on a program

3. Click on "End Task".

*NOTE*
Do not close:

"Systray"
"Explorer"
"Monster Truck Madness 2 -
scenic route (Rookie)"
"Zone".

A more permanent way to startup with closed programs:

1. Goto "Start"

2. Goto "Run"

3. Type in "msconfig"

4. Goto "Startup"

5. Check all the
programs you want
to close.

*NOTE*
Do not uncheck:

"Systemtray"

Get past the block:

1. Go up the middle, slow down
turn left and then right.

Use the fake left then turn right and vice-versa.

2. Use pure force.

Do you know what lag is?

It's a force that is caused by impact and collision. Better computers usually have less lag increasing their chance of winning. Learn to use it to your advantage.

Watch the Instant Replays

1. Click on the "View".

2. Press "Zoom" to watch
the full screen version
of the game.

Watch the view from
the next player perspective.

3. Press "Continue" when done.

Do you know how to turn off "Crash Damage"?

Press X during the game to
turn it "on" and "off".

Do you know what an addon truck looks like?

Addon trucks show up as Bearfoot.

You can see the addon truck if
you have it downloaded and podded.

*Note* Addon trucks create more lag.

Do you know what a "Stock Truck" is?

A "Stock Truck" is any truck that comes
with the game.

Do you know what it means to "reclick"?

1. Change from "Rookie" to "Professional".

*NOTE*
It can cause disturbances in the game if everyone isn't Pro.

2. Change from "Bearfoot" to a "stock truck".

*NOTE*
Bearfoots are addons.

3. MTM2 has a small bug. The truck and the driving level doesn't always register with other players.

So, even though you are "Professional" & "Stock".
It still shows "Rookie" & "Bearfoot" to other players.

1. Click on rookie then click on pro.

2. Reclick on the stock truck you're using

What are access violations?

Its an error that happens before getting to multiplayer and usually resizes the resolution causing it to expand. Goto Start, Settings, Display, Settings to fix the resolution.

What is Case's Ladder?

It's the best rumblers on the hypercube.
If you think your good:

1. Sign up for Case's Ladder.

2. Enter a room with: Ladder or Ladder(old).

3. Type your ladder name & rank and prepare
to launch. GL(Good Luck)

What are some of the abbreviations in the game?

av = access violations
bears = addons
lat = latency
fookie = f***ing rookie
DND = Do not disturb
pass or pw = password
d/l = download
afk = away from keyboard
wb = welcome back
r or rdy = ready
ffa = free for all
lol = laugh out loud
lmao = laugh my ass off
roflmao = rolling on floor laughing my ass off
gg = good game
vgg = very good game
nw = nice win
ns = nice save
nm = never mind
wtg = way to go
btw = by the way
gtg or g2g = got to go
btz = back to zone
omg = oh my god
wth = what the hell
wtf = what the f***
pos = piece of s***

What are some of the default configuration buttons?

Ctrl + Alt + T = Activate Teams
N = Names
TAB = Map
O = Pitboard (Players score and time)
D = Speedometer and RPM
V = Different views for your truck
K = View of other players trucks
T = "Talk" during the game
T + down arrow = "Talk privately" with other
players during the game
F1 = Select "End Race" or "Exit" the race

What configuration do I use for MTM2?

I use the "numeric keys" on the right side of the keyboard
The keys are as follows:
Num + = Helicopter
Num Enter = Yeehaa
Num 0 = Horn
Num 1 = turn left
Num 2 = brakes
Num 3 = turn right
Num 4 = names
Num 5= forward
Num 6 = map
Num 7 = Return to cockpit
Num 8 = switch cameras (change the view for the truck)
Num 9 = Next Truck (views of other players)
Num / = Pitboard (Players score and time)
Num * = Dashboard (Speedometer and RPM)
Num - = Finder (Directional finder)
S = look left
D = look right
M = mirrors (View Upward)
N = Look Back (View Downward)
A = up shift (For Races)
Z = Down shift (For Races)
