I am programmer with 10+ years of experience who works on a contract basis. Most of my work experience is in C and C++. Most of my experience (8+ years) is in game software; however the skills I have can be applied to other industries. At a couple of game companies, I worked on networked multi-player games, so I have experience with both the client and server sides of networked software. Network game software needs to keep track of people entering or leaving unexpectedly and to make sure no deadlocks occur. On some games, it was necessary to twelve to fourteen hours a day; I can work hard on any project you need done. I am fast learner and have no problems working with systems and code libraries with which I do not have previous experience. I try to learn new skills to expand my base of knowledge. I have purchased books on web design. I have used my personal website to teach myself HTML, JavaScript, and cascading style sheets. Using that knowledge, I designed a web page for a non-profit organization and they were happy with the results. Additionally, I have started teaching myself Java, CGI, and PHP to improve my web programming skills. To improve my database skills, I have been studying SQL and XML.
