More Of The Less Common And Easily Confused Cichlids

Well we're back on the same old ones as on the last page so I won't bore you with the same old stuff! If you'd like to read it again go back to the last page and reread it!

THE DISCUS FISH Symphysodon Discus(scientific name). These fish,if you ask me are the most beautiful fresh water fish in the world. They have such a wide variety of colorations it's hard to go wrong in the color department. Everywhere else is where it's easy to screw up!!My discus are called Red Scribbles they are beautiful. These fish need perfect water! PH of 6 to 7 no nitrates, no nitrites, no ammonia in the water and they take regular water changes like twice a week. That is for ideal coloration and breeding circumstances. They can live without those specifications but don't expect babies or beautiful colors.

THE SYNSPILLUM Cichlasoma synspillum(scientific name). One of my Present favorites I had to order these from Newark,New Jersey. They were worth the investment though, they are awsome. They can be very aggressive and can exterminate the rest of their tank mates in seconds if they feel the need. It's best when they're put with other fish they're size and strength! Sounds like other fish I've talked about, huh. If you have some of these you need to get rid of please email me any size will do.My email address is on the front of my home page at the bottom, use it!

THE TRIMAC CICHLID Cichlasoma Trimaculatus(scientific name). This is another of my rarer cichlids and another of my personal favorites. I haven't had a successful brood yet but that's ok it'll happen. These fish are very close to the same guidelines as synpillum only they are not quite as mean! Not to say they are not mean because I bought 8 and only 5 still live because they killed each other. These fish get a very beautifull bright pink throat it also gets 3 spots(as the name says)tail, back, and forehead. And when aggressive or threatened they get stripes. These fish are hard to come by so email me if you have some to spare!
